there's a difference between daydreaming
and constantly getting lost within it
it's not normal to act as if
you're living in a movie
watching yourself
feeling as if your experiences are not real
and that everything around you
is part of some mystical story
that only exists through the eyes
of the viewer on the outside
yet... you are the viewer on the outside
when you get stuck like this
derealization they call it
separating yourself from what you do
an anxiety response
a trauma response
is this how you act because your own reality
was ripped from you?
what your normal was, torn to shreds
and now you've got yourself stuck
living in this made up fantasy world
but it's not made up, is it?
it's your real life.
yet you're not really living in it
