"Hey, wanna go out for breakfast?" Dad asks, poking his head through my door.
"Sure," I shrug, getting off my bed.
I put on a pair of shoes and grab my jacket before heading downstairs.
So dad, Remus, Leo, Harry and I head to a restaurant for breakfast. Turns out mum woke up with a headache, so dad has decided to get us out of the house so she can have some peace and quiet.
The food is really great, and afterwards we go get some ice cream. It's a nice way to spend the morning, but we soon head home.
I head up to my room and sit on my bed, working on a painting I've been doing. I've been doing a lot more art recently, it helps me relax and clear my thoughts.
~*~*~
For both Leo and Harry's birthdays they have small parties. Their friends are invited over so I end up hiding away in my room, not wanting to interact with people.
Then, about a week or so later, our Hogwarts letters arrive telling us what books we'll need, so we plan to head to Diagon Alley.
I wake up and it dawns on me how soon we'll be going back to Hogwarts. I don't want the summer to end, I don't want to go back. I know that everyone will know that it was me who opened the Chamber of Secrets. They're all going to hate me.
Dog comes into the room and I lift her up onto my bed. She cuddles up beside me and I gently pet her.
I hear a small knock on the door before mum walks in.
"You alright?" She asks.
"I don't know," I mumble, not really knowing how to explain how I'm feeling right now.
She comes and sits down beside me. Dog meows at her, which makes her smile slightly, petting that cat for a moment before turning her attention to me.
"What's wrong?" She asks.
"Nothing," I shrug. "I'm fine."
"I refuse to believe that, last time you said you were fine you were actually being possessed by Voldemort. Talk to me."
I sigh. My family really does care about me.
"I'm worried about going back to school," I admit. "I know that everyone is just going to think of me as the weird girl who opened the chamber of secrets. Nobody is going to want to be friends with me."
"That is not true. There will be people who understand that what happened wasn't your fault, those people will want to be your friend. Besides, both Harry and Leo have offered for you to hang out with them if you want."
"Oh yay, I get to hang out with my brother or my cousin, how fun," I say sarcastically.
Mum chuckles slightly. "Alright, fair enough."
I sigh again and rest my head on her shoulder. She puts her arm around me.
"I'm probably not supposed to be telling you this but Remus is maybe going to be taking the Defense position, so if you do need anything he'll be there, and he'll probably be able to get in contact with me and your dad pretty quickly. I don't know if this even helps, but-""It does help," I says quickly, lifting my head. "It'll be nice to have him there."
It is quite reassuring. It means I'll be able to get in contact with mum and dad quicker, and if anything bad is happening Remus will be there, and let's be real, dad is annoying as hell and will visit Remus all the time.
