I'm gonna be honest, I gave this up but I'm trying again. Anyways enjoy.

The rest of the day passed fairly quickly.Astra, despite many reassurances that she wouldn't be harmed, was still wary of me and kept in sight of Asher the whole time. Not that it bothered me but it was still somewhat insulting that she thought he would be able to do anything against me.

It took mere minutes to put my belongings away especially since most of it was 'confiscated' for our 'safety'. Not that I had much to begin with. They did let me keep my phone but without wifi it wasn't of much use besides the music that I had downloaded.

The night passed slowly with nothing to do to pass the time and despite the heaviness of my body my mind refused to let me sleep. Instead my mind was cluttered with thoughts. I wondered what my life would become. There was no way that my 'mother' would let me back into her home, so there was no doubt that I'd be stuck here until I turned eighteen, that is if they deemed me 'stable' enough to be on my own at all.

Eventually my mind succumbed to the exhaustion, letting me fall into the abiss of my mind.

My eyes snapped open as I felt something touch me. Without hesitating I left off the bed, pinning the intruder under me. By the time I came back to my senses his face was a bloody pulp leaving me straddling his unconscious form.

It all came back to me, the camp, my roommates.... Frantically I checked him for a pulse sighing in relief when I felt it. Not knowing how badly I may have injured him I quickly jumped up and ran to get some help.

'Really should've paid attention yesterday.' I thought as I searched for Kai. It wasn't that I trusted her but around here, she might just be the closest thing I could get. Finally I spotted her talking to an anxious looking Astra.

"Help!" I shouted with as much strength as I could. My vocal cords screamed at me from the sudden strain but I ignored that.

Kai looked up in shock, not having been expecting it. Her face hardened as she saw the concern on my face. Without a word she sprinted towards me as I led her back to the cabin.

She gasped in shock as she saw the state that Archer was in but wasted no time in radioing in for backup as she knelt down to check his pulse. Time passed in a blur for the next few minutes. Only vaguely noticing my surroundings as guards came and cuffed me before bringing me to a containment, leaving the sound of Astra's cries to slowly fade away behind me.

The holding cell was dark. Padded walls, no furniture, and one of those blankets that you couldn't suffocate in. But I hardly took any notice of it, instead I sat in a corner, legs to my chest as I starred at my bloody hands.

A few people came and went as I st there but I didn't listen to them, there was only one thing that I wanted to hear about. Eventually Kai came to visit me.
"Layla." She called out to me. I looked up at her. "Layla what happened in there?" I didn't reply. She sighed before sitting down in front of me.

"He's going to be okay." She said looking into my downturned eyes. My eyes shot up to hers, a hint of a smile showed on her face at my reaction. "Will you tell me what happened?" I was skeptical but decided that it wouldn't change the situation much. Slowly I motioned to her, asking for a way to write. She pulled out her phone and handed it to me. I explained to her what happened as best I could. Some parts were just not there for me. Before she left she assured me that someone would come for me in a bit, not that I really cared. I was used to the silence.
