Chapter 2:
It rained all day, made for a cozy time with something warm to drink. You had gotten so deep into your painting and your thoughts. Wondering if the chicken were dry in the coop, if you needed more firewood and why the red looked so dark on the pallet but not the canvas. All of your thoughts scattered once you heard a knock at the front door. It was weird to get visitors who aren't the mailman, and even out in the countryside that was still far and few between.
You went to open the door and hesitated for a second, then you heard a familiar voice. "Y/N you in there? I can see the lights are on."
You opened the door to greet Natasha, she was wearing a leather jacket and some killer shades. "You always manage to look like a cool celebrity every time I See you, Nat," you said, inviting her in.
"Just taking your advice," She sat on the couch i. the living room "How's it going?"
"Pretty calm, I made bread, do you want any?" You asked, leaning against the doorway.
Natasha had said yes to the bread, somehow you also ended up busting out some wine and started drinking. You both shared some laughs and were having a great time, Natasha was a breath of fresh air for you, she was real yet knew when to turn that switch on and off.
You spent the day talking and enjoying each other's company, it got dark but that was normal. Nat usually ended up spending the night in your house twice a week. "Do you have any plans for tomorrow?" Natasha asked.
"Not really, why do you ask?"
She sipped her wine. " Some of the guys were planning a small party for Tony's prodigy", and I thought since Clint can't be there, maybe you could?"
You covered your face a little embarrassed "I don't know Nat, I'm not sure I'm ready to meet you all, especially without Clint, and going back to the city..."
Natasha stopped you "It won't be all of us, plus I'll be there and I can show you embarrassing footage of Clint F.R.I.D.A.Y caught."
Not sure if it was the wine speaking or the fact that you wanted to get to know the people Clint cared so much about but you said yes. Nat said she'd take you there tomorrow morning, you spent the rest of the night cracking jokes and she showed you some pictures of her recent mission overseas until you both passed out.

The drive into the city was fun, Nat couldn't stop talking about how many times you saw a sign and asked if it was new. She started to think you were actually from a whole different world being isolated for so long. On the way there you guys stopped by a takeout place just for an early brunch, it was a little burger joint. Nat had some trouble with the guy at the counter who'd been holding out, she knew for a fact he was ,and persisted enough and got what she wanted. You were in the Parking lots on top of the hood just sitting and eating "Do the others know I even exist ?" You asked. "To be no, back when they met Laura they were so shocked. I don't even think they'll be able to process you." Natasha answered, it was straight to the point.
"You've got to teach me how to do that," You said, biting into your meal.
"What exactly?" She responded
"When you were in there getting the food, you knew he was lying about not having your favorite drink."
She chuckled "I'll teach you that if you teach me how you effortlessly do your makeup after a night of drinking."
You both laughed, finishing up your food and getting back on the road. It wasn't long before you got to Stark towers, A.K.A avengers towers. Walking inside you could see all sorts of people walking around, the lobby itself looked high-tech. Even the elevator was something cool, Natasha laughed at how mesmerized you were.
As you reached the top floor you got worried, it'd be the first time you got the chance to make an impression. "Hey, are you sure I look fine?" you said as you took your jacket off only to put it back on.
"Stop being so worried, I'm sure they'll like you. And if they don't you can always put on a different jacket." She laughed.
You punched her shoulder lightly and she reacted as if she'd been fatally injured. The moment and laughter were cut short, the doors opened and you'd reach your destination. Walking into the place where the Avengers had stayed, their home.
A/N: I had just realized that Chapter 2 was chapter 3 and I'm sorry for noticing so late, I'm going to fix it now.
