Chapter 4:
The party got a little quieter behind you but you didn't think much of it, someone had come out to the balcony with you. Before you could turn around they covered your eyes with both hands "Guess who ?"
That voice was so unforgettable, I didn't even have to try to recognize it. "Hmm, I don't know," you smiled "Is it, Clint ?"
He put down his hands and turned you around pulling you in and embracing you, kissing you gently on the lip. He was a little banged up, a cut above his eyebrows, debris on his suit. You know he probably had more bruises on him under the suit but you were just happy he was alive. "You look like shit," you said as you held your hand to his face.
Clint later his head on it "I would've let you fix me up but S.H.I.E.L.D got to me first" He chuckled.
You hugged him causing him to jerk "Ouch, not too tight," He said in response.
"I'm sorry, I just missed you."
Clint's face turned red "It's all right, I missed you too. Tell you what, I can get cleaned up and join you out here."
You grabbed his hand before he could walk off. "You need some sleep, and I think I'm all partied out."
You too walked back inside and had told everyone you two would be leaving early. Tony insisted you stay at the towers in the Client's room, the drive home would've been extended and you were too tired to drive. Clint looked like he would pass out at any chance behind the wheel, he didn't seem to mind staying in his room with you. He shared a home with you and this would be just like that before you could leave.
You got to Clint's room after you accepted Tony's offer. It was not what you expected inside, the room was modern, bright, and surprisingly clean. You lived with Clint for a long time now and knew he wasn't exactly the cleanest but not necessarily a slob, but he's always forgetting to do things. As soon as you got in you helped Clint remove his suit, piece by piece. Each time you took one off you got to see another wrap that covered what you assumed to be a bruise, his face sucked in pain after each one.
"Thank you," He said as he kissed you, his hand on your lower back. "Wanna join me in the shower ?" He asked with a devilish smirk.
After the steamy shower, you patched up Clint once more before bed. He hadn't taken long to fall asleep and he looked so peaceful sleeping, smiled to himself as you finished drying your hair with the towel. As you walked over to the bed and sat down you pondered in the picture frame. Lifting it to see what the picture was, you saw a picture the client had taken of you when you first met, 'though I told him to delete that' reminiscing. The candid picture was sweet, Clint was sweet. As you got into the bed to fall asleep Clint moved to hold you, this always happened, his body and probably yours were so used to sleeping together they just liked it that way.
In the morning you guys spent some time properly talking to the members of the team who were there. Shared quick stories about Clint and how dorky he could be and even got yourself something to drink on the way home.
The ride back was great, Clint was so happy you got along with everyone and couldn't let you forget how much he loved you. "You should come with me to the tower more, I'm sure it'll be good for you." He said
It's not that you didn't want to go but you still had your worries "Why not, as long as next time we're there you show me what 'boom!' arrows are."
Clint chuckled "I promise, but I think we'll have to ask Tony if that's even safe."
