Carla Robinson
What a beautiful day it is on Sunday morning, with a clear sky and light winds. A day when I should go for a walk to enjoy my morning coffee at a brunch cafe. Cruelly, reality slapped me in the face with a wake-up call. My phone's screen displays my reminder alert, 'work 10-3.' How Cruel! I just want to enjoy a beautiful day.

Some days, I take the bus to work, and other days, I walk. Depending on my circumstances, I may or may not have missed the bus. After starting year 12, I became an early riser but remained a night owl. My morning routine consists of washing my face and brushing my teeth, followed by a jog or run around the neighbourhood. When I finish my thirty-minute workout, I return home and shower before preparing my breakfast.

Is there anyone else who enjoys their morning coffee as much as I do? I saved all of my money to buy this adorable barista coffee machine. This one here is so expensive that my wallet is crying. I have to go to a barista class for the entire day just to used the machine, but it was worth the effort.

Most of the time, a bagel with cream cheese was my go-to. My alarm goes off as I'm enjoying my leisurely morning. It's almost time for me to get dressed and go to work. Sometimes I wonder if anyone else has the same problems as me; I'm the type who struggles if my usual schedule or plan is changed or adjusted.

"Morning Sandra" I arrived at my workplace and the first person I see is Sandra who starts work at 6 am in the morning. Will Iris teach me how to use the cash register today?

"Hi, Carla, ready for work?" Sandra is busy change the ticket price and checking all of the item that comes in from the warehouse.

"Nooooo, I wanna go home" I whined.

"You haven't even started yet and you wanna go home. You won't complain if you start at 6 like me" she said

While waiting for my turn to go to work, I just sit quietly. Iris approached me as I was about to clock in and asked if I was ready to learn how to use the register machine. I'm prepared; otherwise, when would I be prepared? I'll be able to accomplish this much since I signed up for this job. Although I do not expect it to be an easy task, I am confident that my abilities and persistence will help me excel as a customer service professional.

Iris demonstrates to me how to use the machine; at first, I struggled a lot because the function and everything is so difficult to remember. I tried taking photos of the system so I could remember where everything was when I got home. At the moment, my service speed is still very slow, and I am unable to even help clear the long line. If I don't improve, I'm sure I'll drag everyone down with me.

After my shift ended, I was exhausted and battered from all of the work. Before I went home, I decided to go back around the store and look at the produce again, as well as take pictures of the ones I couldn't remember.

"The texture of these two is noticeably different. Peach has a furry texture, whereas Nectarine is smooth "I looked up and discovered that the person who explained everything to me is the one I bumped into last time.

"I see what you mean now. It truly is different. Thank you! By the way, my name is Carla "I made an introduction.

"Xander, nice to meet you Carla" he said with a smile.
