Carla Robinson

I couldn't concentrate on what was going on in front of me after returning to work. My thoughts return to the 15-minute break I take. Fortunately, no one is upset with me for taking a longer break than I should. I debated whether I should ask him again. What if he doesn't respond to my question? Work ended with me unsure of what to do or how to deal with Xander.

I went to the kitchen, ready to leave. Xander came in and stand next to me.

Xander offered, "I can drop you off and we can continue our conversation." I looked at him for a few seconds before nodding.

Sandra and the others looked at me as Xander followed me out of the kitchen from behind. Jane gives me a cheeky smile as she waves goodbye.

As soon as I got into Xander's car, he drove away from the shopping centre. I glanced at Xander, trying to figure out how to begin the conversation.

"Tell me the directions, and I'll drive to your house," Xander said ahead of me. Oh, I completely forgot about it. What should I do because I'm bad at giving instructions? What about GPS? Carla, how come you're bad at the direction, it's just right and left.

"Just keep straight," I advised softly.

"Hmmmm....about what happened in the corridor. I'm sorry "I said this without knowing what had actually happened.

"Don't worry about it. You should sleep more at home" Xander gives me a few glances because he needs to concentrate on the road.

"I intend to do so. Could you please tell me what happened?" I asked cautiously.

"It's not that big of a deal. I just took a break and sat down next to you. While you sleep with your head on my shoulder. That is all "Xander explained it as if it were a normal occurrence.

"Did I.....snore?" The last part I said quietly.

"Hahahahaha, don't worry. No one hears except me" He laughed as if it were the most amusing question he'd ever heard.

I faced palm myself, "That's even worse. Anyway, what's the big deal about my question? ". This is so humiliating that I'll never fall asleep at work again.

"I assumed you were concerned about something, but it's just snoring. Everyone snores, and your soft snore is quite cute to me "I know Xander doesn't mean anything when he says that last part, but my crazy heart starts racing.

"Turn left at the roundabout" I instructed. Xander just follow my navigating.

Instead of sitting together in a car with an awkward silence, I decide to ask Xander some questions.

"So, why did you decide to transfer to this store?"  before I asked him anything personal, I should start by asking the reason he transfer.

"I got a transfer, but it's in my favour because my house is close by." Wait, his house is close by? I always assumed he lived near his former workplace. Some people, however, work far away from home. Everyone works extremely hard in order to achieve success in life.

"That's great because you don't have to travel as far and it's less tiring," I replied.

"Your house doesn't appear to be that far away from our workplace," Xander remarks.

"Yeah, it's only about 15-20 minutes walk from my house to work," I said. On some days, I walked from my house to my workplace. On other days, I take the bus to work.

"If we finish the same time again, I can drop you off" Xander offered. Somehow, he seems very kind.
