"Zoe wait up" I chase after her, towards the cafeteria to get into line with her. "U know I'm doing one of those ice skating hangouts again" Zoe states. "Remember what happened last time?" I remind Zoe. "Yeah yeah but none of that will ever happen again" Zoe says with surety. I agree with her as I trust her very much.
Currently it's July here meaning it's really hot and going ice skating would be an excellent idea. I know nothing bad will happen this time since nothings going on right?
Zoe moved up in line a bit, today it's very busy, not like the usual days. "Today I'm performing in the band concert" Zoe says. We usually have a concert in July, usually when the holidays are about to begin. I honestly cannot believe I'm going to be a junior next year, my second to last year in high school.
"I can't wait to watch you perform zoe!!" I state.
We finally get our lunch and sit at our regular table, where we have been sitting our whole life in high school.
Zoe looks like she's about to tell me something but doesn't. Oh well she's weird sometimes.
It's kind of odd to be honest, Tanner usually sits with that bitch but today they're sitting in complete different directions.
Oh well it's none of my business so I shouldn't really care.
Tanner also looks off today. I'm worried for him. Should I go check on him? Or will he just think I like him again?
As I'm trapped in my thoughts, I hear the bell. "That was the quickest lunchtime I've ever experienced" I say with confusion in my mind. Zoe and I get up and go to our last class for the day.
As I'm sitting in class waiting for our teacher, my eyes slowly slide in tanners direction. He looks sad, he doesn't look like himself. What has Audrey done to him?
The class passes instantly and we all go home. That was seriously the quickest day I've ever experienced. It's like it wasn't even a day. Odd.
I reach home and study for a bit. There were a couple things I didn't quite understand in the lessons therefore, I'm revising them again. I have my AirPods in, listening to calm music while studying. I tend to focus more when I'm listening to music.
It was honestly a very different day than the others. I don't know why. Something felt off.
As I'm overthink and caught up in my thoughts again. I get a discord notification from Zoe.
Zoe: hey Jess, got some tea to tell ya.
Me: go on go on
Zoe: you will be happy about this news I'm about to tell you.
Me: THEN HURRY UP AND TELL ME
Zoe: u ready to hear this fr?
Me: omg Zoe hurry and tell me, you're getting on my nerves now
Zoe: it is......
Me: Zoe pls I need to study, stop wasting my time.
Zoe: fine
Me: thank you
Zoe: okay okay so basically what happened is..
Me: okay I'm blocking you
Zoe: okay okay I'll tell u
Zoe: don't block me bestie
Zoe: Tanner finally broke up with that bitch
Am I reading these words correctly? Tanner broke up with Audrey? But they only dated for 3 months, thats nothing. I feel so bad for Tanner. But at the same time I'm happy he's free from her.
Then I get another notification from Zoe.
Zoe: and heard she cheated on him
Okay that's even worse. How could she?
Poor Tanner.
