Alex was still laying down, letting me play with his hair. "y/n." He said, eyes still closed. I hummed still playing with his hair. "What happened last night?" He asked slowly. I stopped playing with his hair, resting my hands on his shoulders. "My mother is in the hospital with Alzheimer's. I went to visit her last night, but she didn't remember me. So, she asked me to leave." I explained. He sat up, looking at me with sympathy. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." He apologized, bringing me into a hug. I chuckled, rubbing his back. "It's fine. How about you get ready before your late." I said, shooing him away.
After he finally finished, we walked out to his car. "You driving there or do you need a ride?" He asked, holding open the door. "If it's no trouble, I'll go with you." I said, doing a little crusty before getting in. He quickly got in, pulling out of the hotel parking lot. "So we still have an hour before we need to be at the track." He said, getting off the freeway. "Where are we going?" I said, looking over. He only smirked, paying attention to the road. I shook my head lightly, grabbing his hand that was on the shifter. "You better not be taking me somewhere to murder me." I joked, making him laugh.
He entwined our hands, holding the shifter still. "I would never." He said, his voice laced him sarcasm. I shook my head, leaning back into the seat. We pulled into a grocery store parking lot, making me confused. "Last time I checked, you don't do groceries." I joked, making him scoff. "I can do them, I just choose not to." He protested, getting out of the car. I opened my door, getting out as well. He was by my side, holding my hand. "Alex. It's just my shoulder, I can walk perfectly fine." I said, laughing at his antics. "Sorry, you never know what might happen." He said, grabbing a cart as we walked in.
He stopped walking, but I kept going. I felt arms wrap around my waist, and hoist me up. "What the-" I was about to say, but was placed in the cart. "Oh my god. Your even more adorable." He squealed, pushing the cart. I just sighed, sitting back. We strolled through the store, grabbing some snacks, popcorn, and my weeks supply of juice boxes. He grabbed like 10 packages of juice boxes. "Damn. I don't need this many." I laughed, trying to put them back. "No! Leave them in there." He whined, putting them back in. I sighed, letting him do what he wants. "Hurry up. We only have 30 minutes." I say, making him panic. We rushed to the checkouts, trying to quickly pay. He pushed the cart out to the car, throwing all the bags in the trunk.
He came to the side, picking me up. I giggled as he was goofing around with me. "Hurry up before you drop me." I squealed, holding his neck. He laughed, setting me in the car. I looked at my watch, shaking my head. "20 minutes, Albon." I said, clicking my tongue. "I'm trying!" He yelled, putting the cart back and running to the car. He got in, and quickly drove off. "You haven't looked at the time, have you?" I said, stifling a laugh. "No..." He said, looking at his watch. "y/n!" He yelled, his voice whiny. I broke down, laughing loudly. "It's like when you yell at George." I said in between laughs. He whined, pulling into the track. "I'm still 30 minutes early." He said, getting his temperature checked. "Sorry." I said, dragging my voice out.
After we got into the paddock, we went to the motor home. Alex ran in, before coming back and helping me. "Why thank you." I said in a fancy tone. "Of course, your royalty." He scoffed, rolling his eyes. I smacked his chest, making us both laugh. "Don't be an ass now." I said, grabbing a juice box. He took it from me, putting the straw in and handing it back. "Before you say anything, your going to overwork your arm. We don't need that." He said, giving me a dorky smile. "Right. I have to go now so be careful." He said, getting all his gear. "Wait." I called, standing up. I went to him, giving him a big hug. "Good luck, and try to keep the front wing on. I'll be cheering you on." I said. I pulled away, but gave his cheek a kiss.
He stood there looking flustered. "R-right. Thank you." He said, running off. I chuckled as he forgot his gear. I waited a second before the door opened again. "You might need these." I said, handing him his gear. "Yes. Thank you. I'll see you later." He said, running off again. I shook my head, laying back on the couch.
