Just in the Neighborhood

Chapter 2: One Eventful Dinner

                                                                               2 HOURS EARLIER

"Damn it, I'm hungry." Says the tired hero "Well we did tell you to eat something?!" Said a soft but concerning voice "Yup she's right, and not just that you need to take a shower, fix your costume, and..." The young hero started to block out the voices in his head and tried to relax. He was jumping from rooftop to rooftop trying to find a good spot to hide out in. Finally coming to a screeching halt. He turns around to see if anybody had followed him. When he knew the coast was clear he collapsed on the edge of the building he was standing on. That's when all the voices inside his head started to ring out. They told him things like "get up!" and "There's a better place for this." Even though they told him to rest. They didn't want him to collapse on top of a roof where he could be attacked at any moment. Still, he continued to drift off and go back to a happier time before the war and All For One's appearance.

 2 months before the battle with the league of villains and the meta liberation army, Izuku and Bakugo were asked by the current #1 hero to stop by his home. To talk strategy about the upcoming battle. Not knowing what to expect they brought suits to the meeting. "Why the fuck do I have to be involved in this shit?" Said the blonde boy "Because." said Izuku buttoning up his suit "In 1 month's time we will be going up against the league and the liberation army." Said the green hair boy "And we want to be as prepared as possible and have backup plans in case anyth-" Just then the door swung open startling the boys. "Oh come on in kids." Said Endeavor looking fancy. The boys said their thanks and moved along to the inner house where Shoto was waiting. The Todoroki estate was humongous. Izuku and Bakugo were amazed by how big it was. When they got there they were greeted by Shoto. "It's about time you guys got here." Said the half-cold half-hot kid. Bakugo stops in his tracks and stares intensely "Hey give us a fucking break this place is huge. It also didn't help that the fucking nerd wanted to dress nicely for your sister." Izuku stops and turns back to face Bakugo with an angry look and reminding him to behave himself. "Sorry about him you know how he is." Says Izuku going in for a manly handshake like from an '80s action movie. "It's ok, I'm used to it." Says Shoto shaking back with a nice slap sound. He looked over to Bakugo and stretched out his hand for a shake but instead, the blonde just took his pointer finger, shaking that instead. Izuku look stunt and wondered what Shoto would do and to his surprise, he laughed it off and led him inside. Izuku as stunt as he was just went in after them.

 He can tell already this was going to be one interesting dinner party tonight. The rest of the night went by pretty well. There was more normal talk about school life and what the kid's interests were. Izuku zoned out the interior time having his little strategies party in his head. Thinking about how he would stop Shigaraki. As he was concentrating hard about it a voice started to call out to him. "Iz...Izu...IZUKU!!!" Jumping from his seat a bit he could tell he was really out of it. "Izuku." Said Shoto calmly "You haven't been yourself since you found out you got another quirk. Everything ok?" Izuku, not wanting to be asked about his powers, decided he needed to cool off with a drink. He asked Shoto to which he replied "Sure my sister won't mind." Having his blessing Izuku got up and headed for the kitchen. It had been some time since Izuku and Fuyumi had last seen each other. The first time they met Izuku thought she looked very nice. He dares say she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Seeing the kitchen doorway he headed straightforwardly and intended to say hi to her. As he was about to speak Izuku stopped in his tracks, baffled at what he was looking at. Fuyumi had one giant bowl of stakes in one hand while also mixing and seasoning another bowl of vegetables. Izuku wasn't sure if he should ask for a drink or offer to help. So he stayed glued to the floor. He decides to back away slowly so as not to startle the girl, but as he walks out he hits his head on the wall, making him cry out in pain. As Izuku was tending to his bump he heard Fuyumi call out.
