"WHERE YOU TAKING me?"

"Somewhere special to me." Kaelem looked back at me with a grin on his face.

Well that's vague.

"Chill out, live a little." He chuckled to lighten up my anxious balls of nerves. I guess he could feel the way I felt, not being in control as to where we were headed but he didn't know what I had just gone through either.

It was soon after I noticed the big billboard to the massive bricked building. I stayed sitting in his Mustang, starring out at the school under the night sky. The school was enclosed and surrounded by a long steel fence with big chunky chains and metal locks wrapped around the diamond shaped wires.

"You coming?" He asked, forcing my attention on him as he unbuckled his seat belt and opened the car door to step out the vehicle.

Was he proposing we trespass on middle, school grounds?

Already four steps ahead out of the classic car. I hurried to get my seat belt off and extended a leg out the door, whipping my head up to see Kaelem approaching the gated fence.

I'm going to have to climb that aren't I?

I strutted towards the fence and stood next to him with my arms crossed as he had his head bent backwards, his eyes focus on the very top of the pointed fence with a broad smile painted along his lips.

Well this is it. This was my moment.

I didn't want him thinking I was boring. I COULD live a little. He just hadn't seen that facet of my personality yet.

I didn't want him thinking I was anything other than the cool girl - The girl next door.

I approached the fence until I was nose to nose to it. Without contemplating on it, I snaked my fingers through and around the diamond shaped, steeled wires, jamming my feet through them next.
Using all my strength in my arms I pulled myself up the rickety wall, making it to the very top without a thought. I didn't want to think too hard about it. I knew once I got up there, it would be too late for me to freak out. Especially with the gravity of this situation- that we were trespassing. But I knew once I'd be up there, I'd have no other choice than to come down. With all that said, it would make me appear bold and adventurist though I felt nothing like it on the inside.

I'm not a rule breaker by nature.

When I got over to the other side I climbed half way down and jumped the rest of the way down.

I stood up with my back straight and folded my arms over my chest, fixating on his face with a smile of pride. He had a look of uncertainty but I felt pretty good about myself for willing to take such a risk. After all, I didn't want him thinking I was that boring person.

He scratched his head, flicking his eyes to the metal fence. "Why wouldn't you just use the door?"  he clicked the fence door open and it opened with ease.

My jaw dropped, he mimicked my expression and let his mouth fall open like mine. A smirk sweeping over his pink lips.

"You're a dick for making me climb that stupid fence!" I dashed at him, punching him on his side. He flinched but the wide smile that spread across his face told me the hit didn't hurt him - it tickled him by the way he squirmed.

"I didn't make you do anything. But it was entertaining to watch." He laughed, tucking me under his arm in a hug.

He let go of me after several beats as we stepped closer to the school, skimming my waist along the way. Was that on purpose?

I followed down the sidewalk where Kaelem lead me to the back of the school. I didn't know where we were headed but I kept reminding myself what Kaelem told me. We were going somewhere that was special to him so it couldn't be that sketchy.
