I grew up knowing that someday I would have to marry the son of my godfather. I just did now expect to be bombarded with the news of my marriage on my 18th birthday.
"But I just started my junior year!" i screamed at my dad. "If mom was alive this would not have happened."
My dad seemed to have dumbfounded when I mentioned my mom. I never really mention her infront of my dad, he could never really move on from my mom even though she passed away 10 years ago.
"Dad....I'm sorry to bring this up. But please try to understand. I just turned 18 and you are asking me to marry a 26 year old man whom I had never even met."
"You know this is out of my hand right? The deal had been made ages ago." My dad said in a shaky voice which he knew I would not rebel against.
I decided to get out and light myself a cigarette and smoke away all the stress like I always do. That is when Taeyong decided to call me to hang out for my birthday.
"yeah I will be at Ten's place after I get done with something" I told him.

I looked at my new tattoo on the side of my ribcage. It said "cage". I wonder how my catholic father would react if he found out I have a total of 14 tattoos on my body.

*Ten's Place*
"Aren't you drinking more that usual?" Sana asks me.
"You don't turn 18 everyday bestie." I said before chugging down another can of beer.
I finally decided to hold my guts and tell my friends. "Yall........ I'm getting married in a month"
Taeyong, Ten and Sana just stared at me shocked. I could hide my secrets from everyone but not these 3. "That dude is like 26 and i dont even know him...... idk what to do yall...... "
"Y/N........ all of us kinda saw your arranged marriage coming but we didnt realise it would be so early......." said Taeyong. His heartbreak visible in his eyes. He had feelings for me for years but being one of my best friends he knew we could only date to break up sooner or later.
I lit another cigarette to smoke away all my anxiety.
