Harry's POV
As my uncle, the royals and I were walking down the street I saw the Princess with Prince Zayn whom I came to know was from a nearby kingdom and had been friends with the Royals of Darbhanga. I was feeling a tad bit uneasy, maybe because it was of the fact that I was too close to my uncle. He might be my blood but I have nothing but hatred towards him. I've always wondered how my 'uncle' could sleep peacefully at night knowing that he had destroyed many innocent lives including mine.
Time skip to the night at the palace
Aarya's POV
I was just about to reach the water fountain when I heard light, choked sobs coming from that direction. I've always had trust issues with people even inside the palace and hence I keep a dagger with me when I go for walks like these at night. I decided to be wary of my surroundings and held the dagger close to me. When I finally got there, to say I was shocked would be an understatement. It was Harry, uncontrollably sobbing, a complete wreck and in his most vulnerable state. I didn't know how to react and so I decided to just stand there. Finally, he wiped his tears and turned around and I'm pretty sure he was shocked to see me there.
Author's POV
"Umm, hi, you don't seem quite fine, can I help you in anyway?" Aarya asked, not letting her guard down but also being sympathetic.
"No it's fine actually, just got a bit carried away." Harry replied, wiping off his leftover tears.
"Listen, I know we barely know each other but I have too many questions to ask. I completely understand if you don't want to talk to me about any of those but I just have always wondered why you dislike your uncle's intentions, I mean there must be a reason right? Unless you're the purest form of human life and couldn't tolerate to see other people in poverty struggling to live." Aarya let it all out but Harry did pick up that one question.
He kept a straight face but decided to answer some of it.
"I dislike my uncle as a person and not only his intentions. That man has done horrible things to me, my family and my loved ones."
"If it's ok with me asking you, what did he actually do?" Aarya asked.
Before Harry was given the chance to answer that, Aarya saw her sister approaching them.
"Aarya, what are you doing here? I've been searching for you. Father wants us all in the hall right now. There's something important to discuss about."
Arvita was panting, clearly showing that the poor girl had ran all the way. Aarya knew that this must be urgent.
"Now, Harry, I'll be taking your leave."
He simply nodded and Aarya walked away.
