it's been a few weeks.

the finals were overwhelming, but everyone made it. the yang parents also came back to korea for a while since the graduation ceremony was still on the list.

but now, the spring festival was awaiting everyone already. yerin was very excited to go with jay. the past weeks, the whole squad was focusing on grades, studying and exams.

she woke up in a happy mood, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping. "good morning to me!", she giggled as she got up to tiptoe into the kitchen. her brother also left his room lazily, yawning.

"sleeping in this apartment is another level of pain. it's way too early!", he groaned. "stop whining like a baby, it's not like the sun will kill you." "you're one to talk. you always whine whenever jay doesn't have time to meet up." yerin scoffed at his comment.

"i don't!"

"you do."

"it's just boring when we don't spend time together. i think i really fell for him this time.", she smiled uncontrollably. jungwon turned away from the fridge and eyed her. "are you perhaps planning on confessing to him tonight?"

"maybe?"

"no way!" jungwon was surprised. never has he ever thought his anti-romantic sister would ever tell him she liked someone. "i am fully supporting you.. from afar of course."

the sister showed him a thumbs up: "thanks! let's make breakfast now, i am starving!"

———

the whole afternoon, yerin was busy making herself ready.

which outfit? too short, too formal. what is that? ugh.

"jungwon, what do you think?", she yelled, holding up a possible candidate for tonight's outfit.

"looks cute."

"don't you think the skirt is a little short?"

"it's not your style."

"okay, whatever. i'm choosing something else."

after finally choosing an outfit, she continued preparing herself for the.. date. by the time she was ready, jungwon already left to the dorm. he said he'd join later on with the rest.

currently, it was around 5 p.m. although jay and yerin planned to meet up at 6 in front of the gates, she grabbed her bag and walked to the bus station. heart still beating fast and a big smile plastered on her face.

———

jay was currently in his room, reading a manga silently. after feeding his brothers, doing a workout and driving around on his motorbike for a while, he settled down for a while to calm down a bit. it was about time to clear his mind a bit after stressful weeks.

knock knock

jake entered. "hey, man!" he greeted the elder while seating himself on the chair. "what are you reading?" "oh, just a manga i found on my shelf. it's been a while since i read some.", jay answered and looked at his friend.

"what brings you here?" "just reminding you of your little date with yerin in 30 minutes.", jake grinned.

"oh, right.", jay said, standing up from the bed to get his clothes he laid out this morning.

"thanks for reminding!"

in reality, he ran late. yerin looked at the couples and squads that went past her to join the big crowd.

where is he?

the boy got on his bike again, but stopped when he noticed a girl on the other side of the street, with scratches on her knees. he quickly approached her to check if she was okay.
