"Bucky..." The captain places a hand on the soldier's shoulder "You sure about that? They're a criminal, Buck." Even though Steve knew his friend's memories still had some reliability, the Captain couldn't bring himself to not second guess anything of a bigger importance that came out of the soldier's mouth, almost as if the trauma Bucky has, is what defines him in Steve's eyes.

"Yes, I'm sure." The man shoves his friend's hand away "I might have lost my memory about who I was before, but you know I remember all of it."I could sense some sadness and truth in Bucky's words and unlike him, in that moment, i couldn't remember any of it. But the soldier's features didn't feel unfamiliar.

Haria Hill stops looking at the soldier and turns to look at me once again.
A confused but again disappointed expression covers her face as she gets up from her chair and opens the door.

"Everyone out. Call Wanda." I could sense some of the avengers stiffen at Hill's words. Is this 'Wanda' thing so dangerous and threatning they have to fear for my life instead of their own?

"W-who's Wanda?" I start to panic, and this time I don't have the other agent's face to cover up the wreck I'm feeling like right now. All my defenses are down and all the training I was put through regarding situations like the present had completly flown away from my mind- even if it felt stuck to my bones.

"She will tell us if what Barnes is saying is true." She seemed confident in her words but I could smell doubt coming from her.

After a few minutes of everyone having left the room, a knock is heard and a young woman walks in.

I look at her attentively.

She seems kind and smart. Young, aound  24.

She's dressed in all black, maybe she lost someone recently.

She's mystirious, hidden away bellow the surface, but in her eyes, I could see her swiming in a pool of her own blood, pumped by her massive golden heart.

"So what did you need my help with?"
She looks at me almost intrigued.

"We need your help. I need you to read her mind. If she doesn't have anything to hide it will be okay. It's crucial we do this so we know in who to trust, it's the only way."

Hill unlocks my cufs, grabs my arm, drags me and 'gently' pushes me to the floor.

I sit down on the cold tile and Wanda sits in front of me. Natalia leans back on the wall however, she doesn't say a word.

"Where's what's going to happen. I'll look inside your mind for a while and see if it's true." The way Wanda puts it out for me makes it seem so easy.

I start to get nervous but still agree, nodding my head.

This is not going to end well.

"Close your eyes" she says softly as she moves her hands to the side of my head.

I take a deep breath and suddenly feel her magic enter my memories.

At first I feel lightheaded, as if I'm floating on a feather, but then, it feels like I'm immerged in full darkness as I feel a pressure in my head and tingles start to crawll up my body, except i don't see the blue light piercing through my skin.

"I can't find anything, it's like everything was wiped out." her thick accent slips out.

It was- everything was wiped out. Every feeling, every sensation, every touch, all of it lost to infinite unreality.

"Look harder" Maria says firmly. I can't tell if she's desperate to prove her point on something, or just desperate for something.

Black magic starts surrounding us both, wind starts swirling around us and cold hits my face.

I'm feeling dizzy, like I'm about to vomit but then- then the big snap comes.

She finally got in. She's inside my mind.

Memories I didn't even know I had start floating around inside my mind.

Memories of when I was little. Of me training. Of the red room. Hydra. Natalia.

Of -

Torture, pain, endurence.

Torture, pain, endurence.

Torture, pain, endurence.

The blood is racing in my ears, heart hammering in my chest about to burst, sweaty hands and the memories become more vivid and fast, but then it's too much.

I start shaking. I grab Wanda's arms and try to make her stop but she's stronger than me. "I'm in!" she says.

My grip on her arms tightens but she doesn't seem to let go. "I can't - I can't take it anymore." tears start running down my face.

"I can't pull away!" it feels like Wanda is  trapped in my mind as much as I try to make her leave.  "It hurts! Everything hurts!"

"Maria, we have to pull them apart."

Nat grabs me under my arms and the agent grabs Wanda.

They pull each of us but can't seem to break us apart.  "1...2...3...Now!" They pull and we're both finally free of the jail my mind has become.

"T-That - She's telling the truth" Wanda backs up to a wall resting her back on it before trying to smooth out the pain in her head with her hands.  "Come on, let's take you to Bruce so he can help you out with the pain and then you'll tell me everything you saw."

Wanda nods and after Hill helps her get up they both leave. "Romanoff, you look out for her."

Before steping out of the room, Wanda turns to look at me with an emocionless face, not even micro-expressions could be seen. Not anger, not even pitty- pure nothing.

I lay on my side, knees curled up to my chest as I silently sob and a tear leaves my left eye contouring my nose before it hits the ground. I'm too broken at the moment to care about who cares and who judges.

I feel the sweat staining the uniform I still had on.

Natalia doesn't say anything as she watches me carefully in the other corner of the room.

She pulls her phone out and calls someone but I'm not able to understand who or anything about the conversation due to the ringing in my ears, except for the "we can't leave her like this, if what Wanda says it's true than she's no longer a threat. She's just like Barnes."

"We need to give her another chance."

The ringing stops but I don't move so she doesn't notice and doesn't stop the conversation.

"You took me in when I was just like her. You gave me another chance."

"You have to understand she's everything I have left from those times." she mumbles the last part under her breath but I'm still able to listen.

She sighs and ends the phone call putting her phone back in her pocket as she comes closer to me.

"Let's get you outta her." Nat helps me up on my feet again and I feel little bit dizzy from the sudden movement but we keep walking.

We leave the room and walk up to some sort of waiting room. Wanda's talking to hawkeye while Rogers, Stark and Banner have a very heated argument while the god of thunder talks to the soldier.

As soon as we step in the room everyone turns to look at me, mostly with soft expressions except for Captain America that looks at me with disbelief in his face.

"What is she doing here?" He says offensively.

"She's coming with us." Natalia replys.

"She's a treath!"

"So is Bucky".
