8:32 AM, Outside of Professor Peter Port's Class
Glynda Goodwitch was leading the way with Emiya following closely behind. The hallways were quiet, causing Emiya and Goodwitch's steps to echo throughout the area.
"I don't understand. Why a kid? If you haven't been able to catch this criminal then it must mean he's much stronger than anyone around that can help." Emiya let out in confusion as he followed Goodwitch throughout the confusing hallways.
"Mr. Ironwood simply wanted to know of your physical capabilities in direct combat. Defeating one of the best fighters around here is good enough. Knowing your reputation, it usually should never come to physical confrontation, but if it ever did, then you'd have to be prepared. He's not much stronger than the average Huntsman." Glynda kept her serious look on.
"I understand." Emiya let out, closing his eyes.
8:33, Beacon Cafeteria
James Ironwood, one of the government officials in Remnant, Atlas in specific, sat down in the cafeteria. Anticipating the assassin's arrival, only to be delighted with the sight of Glynda leading the way.
"Please, have a seat. I did not want to burden you with walking everywhere just to find me. It's better you have energy left, today will be a busy day for you." Ironwood invited, followed by Emiya sitting down in front of him. "You can leave if you'd like, Glynda."
"Will you be safe, sir?" Goodwitch worried, followed by Ironwood letting out a nod of approval. Glynda left shortly afterwards.
"I'm listening." Emiya had his stoic look on, as per usual.
"I'm glad you jump straight to work. I want you to get to Roman Torchwick. He's been hitting up Dust stores around Vale for a while now. That's not all. We also believe he's working with the White Fang terrorist group."
"Elaborate on the second part." Emiya requested.
"The White Fang are a group of Faunus who want to take revenge on humanity for their mistreatment of the species, they have animal parts on their body. When you find him, chances are he will be accompanied by a few henchmen, Faunus or not."
Ironwood placed a Scroll on the table. "You will need this item to communicate with me and vice versa. I have also marked the locations of all the Dust stores in Vale and you will have access to police communications. I know you can find him on your own, but this is just to assure it."
Emiya then took the Scroll and stood up, starting to walking away. "Consider it do--"
Ironwood was still seated, looking at where Emiya previously was sitting. "Not yet. This will be strange of me to ask, as I know you are an assassin, however..." Ironwood stood up, looking at Emiya now. "You will not bring Torchwick to us dead. We need his information. And as for your payment... 2,000,000 Lien. (for the sake of this story, every 10 Lien = 1$) If you bring him dead, then expect nothing."
Emiya let out a sigh. "I need a tool. I need rope." Ironwood sat there, confused. "I think I know what you want to do. I will remain seated here. Ask Glynda for that."
And so, Emiya walked away into a corner, lighting yet another cigar. Not killing your target for once? This is gonna be tough.
