Saturday, 8:21 AM, Training Grounds at Beacon Academy

Emiya and Ruby walked into the area, with Kerry carrying a bag. Ruby was in her average clothing, Crescent Rose concealed behind her. "C'mon! Drop it already, I wanna see what's in it!" Ruby bugs Emiya. Emiya then drops the bag in front of her.

"You can open it now—" Ruby didn't hesitate one bit, quickly unzipping the bag to reveal... water bottles. Lots of water bottles. Also some lame, vegetable based snacks instead of something actually delicious. Probably Emiya's fatherly instincts kicking in.

"Seriously?!" Ruby drops her head in disappointment, Kerry chuckles.

"We're gonna be here for a long time. All I brought with me as a weapon is a simple combat knife and this weapon." Emiya pulls out the Contender. Ruby got a bit scared. That was the weapon that one shot Pyrrha. "I will restrict myself at first. Now, what is your ability? You've seen mine."

She crosses her arms, pouting as she looked away. "Well, just like how you didn't show me what was in the bag until we got here, I'm not telling you until we fight!" She had started giving him some of his own medicine.

Emiya scoffed. "Fine. It's only fair." He went to one side of the arena, with Ruby on the other. "On my count. 3... 2... 1... go!" Emiya had started to rush towards her. Ruby pulled out Crescent Rose and had switched it to it's rifle form, shooting at Kerry. "Time Alter - Double Accel." He whispered, managing to dodge the bullets. "Time Alter - Triple Accel." To close the gap. Ruby couldn't fight with that speed at all! Right as he was about to strike with the knife, she had disappeared, being replaced with... roses? Emiya stood there, confused.

"Right behind you!" She yelled out, slashing at Emiya's back, who managed to tank it. He ignored the pain, suddenly turning around and firing the Contender. Ruby had gotten confident on her single hit, not being fast enough to dodge the Contender's bullet. It dropped her aura to critical levels, causing her to drop to the ground. "What the hell?! That's not fair at all!" Now you know how Pyrrha felt.

"Here is your first lesson of the day. Do not leave yourself open after any attack. Unsuccessful or not." Ruby crosses her arms.

"Okay, fine. I'm going to wait until my aura recovers." She pouts, sitting on a bench nearby. Emiya followed, sitting down with her. 

"You're lucky you have that Aura thing. You ruined my outfit." He puts a hand on the wound's spot. The wound had somehow completely disappeared already. Courtesy of King Artoria's Avalon. The two sat there for a while, silent, with Emiya breaking the silence afterwards. "What do you think of priests, Ruby?" He looked at her. It was a strange question to ask.

"I think they're okay. Why do you ask?"

"Ah, no reason. I just wanted to say you should be careful around them."

"Why is that?"

"Some of them just happen to be cold blooded murderers. One of them almost killed me back in my younger days." Emiya chuckled.

"Fortunately, I haven't run into a killer priest yet. That might change someday, but probably not. But what kind of business do you get into that you run into... killer priests?"

"It's complicated. They're really dangerous though." 

"Well, looks like my Aura is back together. Let's go another round!" She turned into roses, using her semblance to quickly cross over the arena. Emiya stood up, following.

11:54 AM, Training Grounds

Ruby fell to the ground once more, Kerry standing above her. "No fair!"
