The following day was pretty eventful, it started with Dad offering me the day off of school before remembering he had an appointment at the house so he would need me out for an hour or so, I took the choice to just go to school
I cannot keep hiding from my problemsIt was the end of the day and last Thursday Dad was sweet enough to pick me up after school since Garret has Football Practice and Ebony is at Cheerleading, but he was too busy this time so I had to wait around for the pair of them
Garrett offered me to sit in on practice but watching the boys all sweaty as they chase over a ball or watching the girls bending in ways that shouldn't be legal while making sex eyes at the boys wasn't my cup of teaBut there was only so much studying I could do for someone who had only been here for 2 weeks. I remember when my days were full of late nights and social gatherings, now I'm the school outcast falling in line behind her social butterfly of a sister
I walked out onto the field looking between the two sets of groups on the field, there were the boys who were huddled together drinking some water chatting away while the girls were in a high pyramid completely oblivious to the looks they were getting from the boys
"Yo this is a closed practice" Some boy from the team called coming closer to me, I looked him up and down before turning my gaze else where still not moving a muscle"Did you not here me?" he said now standing next to me
"No, I heard." I answered about to start walking away but he stood in front of me
"What is your problem" I asked
"My problem is that this isn't open to the public" He growled making me roll my eyes
"Garrett!" I called making the whole team look over, the moment Garrett saw me he chuckled running over with Hayden and the boys close behind him"Max it's okay" Garrett said tapping his shoulder
"Hey B" He chuckled hugging me, I turned to Max making him look at us confused
"So you decided to join the dark side?" Jason asked, I rolled my eyes at him
"more like I finished in the library and you lot are still out here" I said making everyone chuckle
"Boys, this is Bryony. Ebony's little sister" Garrett said introducing me to the boys"There is two Ebony's?" a boy asked making everyone laugh
"I am not another Ebony" I warned them all
"Bryony is more relaxed, shall we say?" Garrett asked and I shot him a look
"That's an understatement" Hayden chuckled"Speaking of Eb, I better go say hi. Plus aren't you boys meant to be practicing or something?" I asked making them all nod
They all ran off one by one leaving me to continue my way over to the girls.
I glanced over my shoulder once only to see Max smirking at me as he spoke to one of his friends--
"Let's gooooo!" Nathan cheered as we all started to head towards the cars
"What are the plans for this evening?" Jason asked as we all stood in between Hayden's and Ebony's car
"Well Ebony and I are heading out for the night" Garrett said making my head snap towards them
"since when?" I asked
"since lunch" Ebony laughed"That means I'm stuck in that house alone" I groaned, Dad had already told us he was going to be home late which is probably why they were going out
"hang out with us then" Hayden suggested
"Yeah we'd probably just be at the beach anyway!" Jason continued but I glared at Ebony"So it's settled, Bry will ride with you guys and you can head straight to the beach!" Ebony said tapping my shoulder
"I hate you" I muttered to her as she hugged me goodbye
"Oh I love you too Sis" She chuckled as we pulled awayIt only took a moment for Garrett and Ebony to be gone leaving me alone with the boys
"Alright let's go!" Hayden said offering me a comforting smile
"Shot gun!" Jason called but Hayden rolled his eyes"Back seat boys, Bryony is in the front" he chuckled getting in the car with no explanation, I looked to Jason and Nathan who smirked before getting into the back seat leaving me with only one option
