Chapter Forty Five

After the big showcase in English, Hayden and I were the talk of the school. It was so weird like we couldn't even walk through the corridors without overhearing someone talking about us
"This is nice" Nathan laughed as we all sat in our usual spot
"What is?" Allie asked
"The fact that our favourite love birds are the talk of the school yet again" He said 

"When were we the talk first of all?" I asked
"when you first got together, people wouldn't stop talking about you" Jason laughed
"I didn't hear a single thing" I said
"neither" Hayden said intertwining our hands underneath the table
"That's because you were in your own love bubble" Allie said pointing her fork at me 

"Are we still on for tonight" Allie asked me making me nod
"Ohhh what is on tonight?" Nathan gushed
"None of your beeswax" Allie pointed out making me roll my eyes

"If you don't tell them, I can promise you they'll do all they can to  try and join us" I warned her making her groan
"ugh boys" she groaned making me laugh
"We are having a girl night seeing as there is no school tomorrow" I said making Hayden smile while both Jason and Nathan pouted

"Why can't we come?" Nathan whined
"What part of girls night did you not catch on to?" Allie laughed
"Come on, we can be girls if we try hard enough" Jason teased making me laugh
"Boys, let the girls have their time. Hell knows we stress them out enough" Hayden said giving my hand a squeeze
"Plus I give it 3 hours in before one of them calls us" Hayden said making both Allie and I scoff in disagreement

The main thing I like about Allie's house is the fact that she practically lives alone, her mum is always working so it means we get free reign here with little to no aftermath
"So let's talk" Allie said jumping onto the sofa next to me
"What's up?" I asked making her roll her eyes at me

"How are you feeling about the whole Hayden telling him he loves you?" She asked, I looked at her a little confused
"I mean, we kind of both knew that was coming when we agreed to do the assignment on each other" I laughed
"Yeah but you haven't said it back" she laughed
"I haven't had the chance nor have I needed to yet" I said and Allie narrowed her eyes at me

"Can I hear your assignment" She asked making my breath hitch
"What?" I asked
"You heard me woman!" She groaned 

I bit the inside of my cheek before talking a deep breath in
"I don't know Al" I said making her roll her eyes
"come on, it's just us here!" She said making a valid point
"I won't look at you if that makes it easier" she said making me laugh

"Fine but it isn't uttered outside of this room until I've told him myself got it?" I warned her, Allie happily nodded making the gesture that she had locked her lips and threw away the keys

I sighed nodding before taking out my phone, it's where my idea of what I was writing was put down then I just wrote it off of my phone
As I found the note file, I looked up at Allie once last time before taking a deep breath in

"When I was little, my dad prided me in teaching me the difference in happiness and love. He did it to all three of us and it wasn't until I met Hayden that I knew what he meant" I started
"I grew up watching my older brother fall in love with his Wife and my Sister falling in love with the typical high school captain" I explained
"but I never anticipated it would happen to me, it was the last thing I ever expected" I said with a smile on my lips

"Falling in love with Hayden was something swift and unexpected but at the same time, it was a wild ride. We went from strangers to acquaintances. From being invited over my sisters boyfriend to spending most nights in the back garden together" I said 
"We went from not knowing each other to falling head over heels in one fail swoop" I chuckled

"there was something about the way that I fell in love with Hayden that will forever fascinate me. It wasn't something her did or a quality he possessed, it was just Hayden as a whole" I smiled
"But if I had to pick that one moment, it would be the cabin" I smiled
"nobody here will understand what I mean, but Hayden and I will and that is all that matters. We've started from the ground up and we're only getting stronger" I continued

"The truth is, had I crashed into anyone else that Monday morning. I would never have taken half the chance that I have with Hayden" I smiled looking up
"he's my one in a million" I finished before Allie finally turned around to look at me 

"Girl did you need to make me cry like that" She laughed wiping some tears before hugging me
