Marlene woke up first between them and idly thinks while watching Charlotte sleep in front of her. For the day was young, her lover was fast asleep and looks peaceful than she's ever been. It was a delight to see her with no worries and no responsibilities. That was the end goal for Marlene. To be able to witness Charlotte and herself live their lives without looking back every five seconds of every place they go. To see Charlotte smile warmly everyday not because she has to, but because she can.

It was terrifying to live the life they have now but as long as they are together, it settles the best part to be bearable than what one might think. Nobody would ever understand Marlene of why she threw away her life just to be with Charlotte Adler. If she tries to explain, nobody could hear the love in her voice for their was only judgment to overcome.

As much as Charlotte suggested Marlene to go and talk to her family, the latter hesitates the first time it was brought up. News of Voldemort's daughter has settles tremendously down for the past year it spread. It would give Marlene a chance to explain and convince her family that Charlotte is not the enemy.

"Morning." Marlene greets quietly between them. Even when Charlotte hasn't even opened her eyes yet, Marlene knew she woke up the moment sunlight beams on her closed eyelids. Charlotte merely hums in acknowledgement before burrying the side of her face back to the pillow and rests her arm on top of Marlene's side above the blanket. "Don't fall back to sleep."

"Don't wake me up."

"You're already up." Marlene laughs softly. "Besides, I wanna talk to you about something." She says and Charlotte opens her eyes for a split second, squinting before closing it back again.

"You seem serious."

"That's because I am."

"That's not normally a good thing." Charlotte points out with her eyes closed.

Surprisingly, Marlene managed to make Charlotte agree that she'll be able to go alone in visiting her family for the treacherous news of Charlotte has became sidelined by another. In which was Death eater Igor Karkaroff was captured by Auror Alastor Moody and being detained and question for serious crimes. Of course, Moody was praised and is well known even more than before.

In return of Marlene wanting to talk to her family, Charlotte needed to talk her mother privately. To settle things clearly that she will never join her despite the inconsiderable tolerance of wanting a family she gets to call her own. One that she desperately wanted ever since she could talk.

But for Charlotte, there is only one person that managed to make her life complete without so much as raising a finger. Then she has friends relying on her, she simply couldn't throw them off for parents that did her no right even before birth.

Speaking of friends, Sirius and Aubrey has yet to come close to their due date for their little one to come. Together, they visited James and Lily when Harry was born and caught Marlene and Charlotte about to leave for they overstayed their welcome. They understand why they needed to leave but it still managed to somewhat hurt that this was the life they have. Hiding and running.

Charlotte stands alone in a highest peak of a mountain, overlooking the city grounds from her stand near the ledge and arms resting on it delicately while a ring was on her palm. She always cherished it for all the wrong reasons and was terribly committed to a person she thought was good.
