" i'll tell you over dinner "

Charlotte never planned to surrender her heart to someone else. To care for innocent children like Harry and Elara. To want to protect them so much that she'd sacrifice everything she has for their safety. Despite not being able to see them daily like their parents, she wouldn't be able to live with herself if either of them gets hurt.

To her equal and the person she swore she'd die protecting, fifteen year old Marlene Mckinnon would've laughed if she ever finds out of her future. To live and love as she does now, to someone prophesied as evil, sworn to destroy the world. But she hung on to the other side of the prophecy and it was that the woman she knew would be able to save it from destruction.

Though Charlotte herself doubts she'd ever be the hero everyone she knew wants her to be, a strand of hope hung on her mind that she would succeed in besting her father, and possibly her mother.

Before it came to this day, Charlotte had a nightmare the night before. It was possibly from a fragment of Voldemort's mind, she couldn't tell. But she saw a glimpse of what would happen if he would succeed in conquering the world, including Muggles.

Everything would lead to chaos, order and death or punishment to all but anyone with Pure-blood. The world was on fire and even Charlotte herself wasn't strong enough to stop it by then. For she had lost everything she cared for, her reason of living, her real family and herself.

For she was the cause for everything to turn into ash.

Marlene woke her up in the middle of the night, telling her it was just a terrible dream. It may have been but Charlotte felt it in her skin that it was real and her mind pierced in the reality. That she's good unlike her father. That she has a will to go on unlike her mother.

That night, neither of them could sleep. Instead of falling back into slumber, Charlotte was staring at the ceiling wherein the moonlight bleeding from the window cracks being the only thing keeping their room visible with darkness. For her hand was tangled between Marlene's, either talking quietly to understand each other, barely no space between them under the covers.

It wasn't the fact that the outside world is being poured by gasoline and merely steps away from being set to flame. They held a break by being with one another and it was enough to ease simple minds from breaking out.

Marlene always wanted a baby to hold. Whether or not if it's hers, she just wants to watch a child grow up, be there for every birthday and buy the best gift she could ever buy. Now she has the chance for the two kids, Harry and Elara. As well as being besides the love that warms her heart and sets her mind in a twirl she can't barely breathe anymore.

Charlotte has thought of herself being a mother. However, such thought frightened her that it was almost difficult to think of it again. That was when she was ten, but now she's twenty and couldn't wait to raise a child of her own with Marlene. The two of them agreed they could never take in an innocent child and protect them whilst fighting a war. They could never.

They promised that one they could. To live near a lake, away from people but not too far away for their son or daughter to be able to make friends. Make sure they know who Lily, Aubrey, and everyone else is by their constant and endless visits.

All those wishes seems too good to be true, a wish that seems too high for them to reach despite standing on the highest of all stools. Though the dedication in their hearts made it so to be certain they'd be able to sit down, grey and wrinkles but endlessly happy even by nearing death that would make them rest, with each other by their sides.
