it was around five am and i woke with a tight feeling in my chest. why? why today of all days? my dad left at four am, and my mum needs to be up in an hour. they're the only ones who know how to deal with my panic attacks, my sister doesn't, plus once she's asleep there's no waking her up. i need someone though, if i don't feel steady breaths i'm just going to get worse! after half an hour, i felt my vision start to blur, that's a sign i'll pass out soon. i don't want to disturb any of the mills', especially if they don't know how to help.

a few minutes later their was a faint knock at my door. "ornella, are you awake?" it was harvey.

"y-yeah." i stuttered out.

my door flew open. "ornella! are you ok?!" i shook my head, unable to form words. "you need to slow your breathing, in and out, in and out." he let out exaggerated breaths, but it didn't help. "here, this should help." he took my hand in his, placing it on his chest, taking deep slow breaths. "try and copy them." i did as he said and after twenty long minutes, my breathing was finally back to normal. "are you ok now?"

"i think, everything's still spinning and i feel all shaky." i muttered. "thank you though."

"of course, have some water." he reached to my bedside table and got my water bottle.

i muttered a small thank you and began slowly sipping my water, my shaky hands making it harder to drink. "how- how did you know i needed help?"

"i had a dream, you were struggling to breathe, i woke up and had the urge to check on you, safe to say i'm glad i did." harvey said. "do you want me to stay? i can leave if you want, i just want to make sure you're ok."

"i wouldn't mind you staying. but where will you sleep?" i asked.

"it's nearly six, i simply won't sleep, but i can tell your panic attack tired you out. you can sleep, i'm here if you need help again." harvey smiled sympathetically.

"thank you, seriously, it means a lot." i muttered feeling my eyes getting heavy.

"sleep ornella, it's ok, i promise." harvey said, i reached my hand out of my quilt as i lay down, it helps keep me cool.

"good night, or morning?" i said as my eyes slowly closed and i fell asleep. before i was fully asleep i felt a weight in my hand, did he hold it?!

8:37am, that's what harvey's phone read as ornella woke up, he'd let go of her hand at around 6:30 when their mum came into her room to check on him. after explaining the situation, her mum understood and let harvey stay there. "h-harvey?" ornella asked, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

"morning ornella. how are you feeling?" he asked, worried about the teenager.

"better than when you came in, sorry about that by the way, i've not had a panic attack in a while, so it really scared me." she apologised.

"it's alright, i'm glad i could help." he smiled at the half asleep person infront of him.

"when did you get your phone?" they asked, confusion evident in her voice as he didn't have it when he came in.

"oh, i got it around an hour after you fell asleep. i've just been working on some song lyrics." the taller of the two replied.

"oh cool!" the younger replied. "you can go get ready now if you want, i should probably get changed."

"alright, i'll go wake max up. see you in like 5 minutes." harvey left.
