Chapter 20

The second day arrived and once again Bruno found himself waking up to the sound shuffling of sand.

He quickly jolted up looking frantically around. He was in his vision cave once more.

'was it all a dream! ? Where is y/n!? ' his mind fogging with panic, that is when his left hand brushed against his face.

As he looked at it he saw the emerald ring, he was not dreaming after all. He let out a sigh of relief.

That is when he saw the origin of the shuffling sand. It was from the tossing and turning girl with him.

"Amor what's the matter?" He tried to speak.

"Hmnn noo... Don't take him away... Brunooo" she said still sleeping.

"Mí amor, wake up you're dreaming I am still here" he said as he pulled her on his lap and rocked her gently.

"Uhmm what?... You're here" she said sleepily and fell back to her dream world.

Bruno smiled at this and carried her, hooking his left hand under her knees and right arm supporting the back of her head.

"Sleep mí vida, I'll go to our room" he said unaware of what he said. As he entered his room he laid her on his bed and dusted off sand from her blouse and skirt. And pulling the blanket over her. He noticed that the sun is still not present so he decided to sleep again too.

Not before he heard her mumbling. "Our room..." She said as she snuggled closer to him and smiled gently as she fell back into her deep slumber.

Bruno's heartbeat quickened at this and hugged her tightly.

"If I could, I would save this moment and stay here with you mi amor " he smiled as he too fell back to his unconscious state.

A few hours later y/n was the first to wake up this time with the sun already occupying the sky. She snuggled again to Bruno trying to soak up his body heat.

But after a several minute she realized that she has to get up and sneak out to Julieta's kitchen for food. She gently raised Bruno's arms around her so she can get out.

But in the process she accidentally fell off the bed followed by a resounding thud I side the room.

Bruno was quick to wake up and looked around.

"Hermosa!!? What happened? Where are you" he searched his side of the bed and he then heard a melodious laugh.

He looked over her side and saw her face first on the floor. He tilted his head as he looked at her like she had grown a second head.

" What's so funny? You just fell off and that's your reaction?" He said as he went over to her and helped her to sit down.

"It's just that I, you were so panicked and you sound like you had been doused with cold water" she said as she wiped her eyes from tears.

" Very funny...look at you your forehead is red." He said as he flicked her forehead.

" Ay!! *Hiss* why'd you do that for?!" She hissed as she rubbed the sore spot.

" To exorcise you mí vida" he said as he stuck his tongue out to mock her.

" You act like a six year old, and your 18" she retorted.

"Says you" " well I am a kid, I'm only 10 not yet a teen" she said as she stood and swiped her legs under him causing him to fall on his back.

As soon as he feel she jump on him putting her entire weight on him.

" Ay dios mió, get off you're too heavy!!"

" Nope I'm gonna torture you for the sore forehead" she said.

In Truth she is not heavy, he just like the attention he is getting from his corazon.

"It's your fault that you fell of the bed" he said as he tickled her sides.

She tickled her neck and sides. She laughed uncontrollably and rolled off of him.

"Can't breathe, stop!! *Hee hee* stop I give!" She said as she tried to swat his tickling hands off her.

He laughed too as he stopped and sat up straight.

Once again they heard a knock downstairs and they both peaked over the ledge and saw Pepa getting in and setting the tray of food down.

"Hermanito, I noticed you ate yesterday so I thought I could give you extra in case you wanted more and doesn't want to go out that is- " she said as she sneak a glance up just to see two pair of eyes.

"Wait a minute... Who's there with you?!" She screamed as she run up the stairs, wind blowing hard causing her great help in going to the top faster.

"She's coming hide!!" Pepa heard her brother scream.

She thundered and rain as she reached the top and stormed towards his brothers room.

There he saw Bruno smiling awkwardly, on his bed trying to act normal.

"Holà Pepa, whatcha' need?... Nice to see you" he said as he tried to avert her attention.

"Where are they?! I know what I saw. Are they in here" she said as she stormed towards the bathroom but seeing nothing she searched the closet, still nothing so she searched under the bed.

"What they? I mean I've been alone for years now. Rats, maybe you just saw one of my rats, yeah rats" he said as he tried to slip out his bedroom doors.

Pepa then directed her winds on him causing him to be sent on his bed.

"They're in the vision cave!" She exclaimed as she went there.

"NOOO! PEPA GET BACK HERE!" He shouted as he hurriedly followed.

When he came inside his cave he saw Pepa tapping her foot on the sand as she rained down and y/n behind her waving and smiling awkwardly.

"Sorry, she found me" y/n said as she lowered her hands.

"You have a lot to explain Bruno"

"I'll go get the foods. Byee~" y/n said as she ran fast outside the cave.

"I'll go with you" he tried to follow but stopped when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"No you're not going anywhere Bruno we have to talk" Pepa said threateningly as she led him out the cave.

"I guess I'll have to pray for my life?"

"Not necessarily if you give me a satisfying reason" Pepa said as she sat down crossed legged.

Bruno sighed and sat down Infront of her.
