Epilogue (adopting a baby)

[Big timeskip: It's Camilo's 23rd birthday]

Flowers bloom everywhere and fun decorations are hanging from the walls and ceilings. Everything is ready for Camilo's big day. He loves his birthday and all the attention he gets. You've been dating him for quite a long time and you even plan to get married in a couple of years so you know quite well how excited he gets for birthdays.

This year he wishes for just one thing on his birthday: a baby. Not just any baby but the little girl you both are patiently waiting for. Little does he know that the two of you finally got approved of adopting this little angel.

The baby is only 6 weeks old and originally it was planned that she stays with her birth mother a little longer but sadly the mother's living situation got worse and she decided her baby deserves someone that can take care of it. Now.

Wrapping up the adoption papers made you emotional. It made you think about how different your life would have been if you would have been put up for adoption. It's crazy to think about the way you will change this baby's life and how she will change yours and Camilo's.

When you told Alma about it she started getting teary. Then you sat together for hours listening to her talking about how good of a person you are, how she is proud of you and Camilo, and lastly getting over how the child won't get a miracle.

Now the day is here to let Camilo in on the big surprise.

After everyone he invited congratulated him and all started talking with one another, his Parents proudly walk into the room holding a big birthday cake. The candles are burning brightly and in between them is a chocolate text that reads: 'Happy birthday Camilo!' and a big 23 underneath the letters.

Pepa excitedly looks at him: "Unbelievable how fast you grow! We love you very much, Camilo. Happy Birthday! By the way, there's still someone left that hasn't given you their present" she winks at you.

That's your sign! Camilo turns to you and as you walk towards him tears form in your eyes. You can't believe this moment is finally happening.

Behind your back, you're holding 'the present'.

"Mi vida... first of all, I love you!" a tear drips down your cheek, "We've been together for many years now and I know it was always yours... and our biggest wish to make this family bigger... I have this very very special present for you! Here open it."

"Y/N-" his eyes get watery, "Is this-?" he opens the little box you gave him and slowly pulls out a letter.

"Oh my god!" he looks around the guests as if they already knew what was inside, "I can't believe this!"

Then he starts reading. His voice starts shaking midway through. As he finished he looks at you with his teary puppy eyes and you pull out a photo of the new family member from one of your pockets: "In two days." That's when both of you get her.

He almost falls into your arms, hugging you: "I'm so happy Y/N! We're going to be parents! Can you believe that?!"

Big applause comes from the people watching you. Antonio runs up to his brother and asks to see the photo of his new niece and everyone stepped closer to congratulate you two.

His dad hugs him tight and asks what probably a lot of people were thinking right now:

"What's her name?"
