The soulmates were seated in a conference room with Manager Sejin. When they initially walked in, he greeted them all and took the time to actually speak with Ari. He apologized if this meeting made her feel uncomfortable at all and assured her that there was no reason to be nervous. He couldn't stress enough that as their soulmate, she has a say so if she feels the need to speak up.
Ari spoke to him with respect and kind words letting him know that she's going into the meeting positively and that his efforts are appreciated.
Sejin was always nervous about the boys finding their last soulmate. Would the person they found be a insane sasaeng? Will they only want to be with the members for money and stability, not loving them at all? Could this person keep their private life private for the sake of BTS as a whole?
So far he saw no need to worry but wouldn't let his guard down yet. After this meeting if she checks off his list, he would make it his business to take care of her as he does with BTS.
Park Ji-won and Bang Si-hyuk, better known as Bang PD, walked into the room with their lawyer in tow and everyone stood to welcome them. They also want what's best for the group's personal lives as well as business, so they have a guard up too. Their instant impression, as bad as it sounds, she was a foreigner. A foreigner of a darker complexion at that. Putting it simply, she's black.
They assumed she was a tourist, probably couldn't speak Korean well, and likely wasn't even their soulmate. Ari may not know the management well but she knows how some Koreans have viewed her. She could easily tell that with them being protective of the boys, they already viewed her a certain way.
This wasn't a meeting.
This was an interview.
And Ari knew it, even if her soulmates did not. It's not their fault. Honestly, whoever their soulmate ended up being would be put through a screening. She just knew with her being who she is, this screening and meeting quickly escalated.
BTS had already given them her name after they found her. This made it easy for them to pull her records.
But oh how wrong they were.
Her father made certain that his family's information could not easily be attained. Unless legal documentation was presented to him at Crescent Industries for him to authorize, you'd know nothing.
Management reached that hurdle of not finding a speck of information causing a slight upset.
"Hello Ms. Moon. It's a pleasure to meet you." Park Ji-won began.
'Here we go. They assume I'm fucking uncultured all around.' Ari thought to herself.
"Nice to meet you all as well, and please call me Ari. However, I'm fluent in Korean so please speak comfortably." She ended causing the two higher ups and the lawyer to widen their eyes in shock.
"W- Well thank you for that. As you know we regard their safety above everything. Although you are their soulmate, we perform a screening still just to be sure they aren't being taken advantage of." The lawyer handed Mr. Park a folder.
"I completely understand. I'm also positive that you were not able to obtain those records so please feel free to ask me anything you'd like to know." She spoke with confidence.
Her soulmates looked at her just as wide eyed. How'd she know they couldn't pull up her records? They didn't even know her records were being pulled, let alone the fact that their huge company couldn't find her.
