Tamia was only 1 month pregnant when the father of her child passed away in a tragic car accident. He asked for one thing before going into cardiac arrest for a final time in the hospital; if their kid is a girl name her Ari which means beautiful in multiple languages. He didn't have any family other than the child coming into this world and he wanted to be a part of that.
After his passing Tamia did her best to continue with the support of her family and her lifelong best friend, Moon Ji-Hoon.
Ji-Hoon moved to the States (New Orleans, Louisiana specifically) when he was 13. Tamia was his next-door neighbor and he met her at the bus stop. They've been inseparable ever since.
During the time of Tamia's pregnancy, she found herself falling in love with Ji-Hoon quickly. His soulmate ended up being gay so they remained friends and her soulmate had passed away, leaving them both longing for a bond. Somehow, fate pulled them together and he took on the role of being a loving spouse to Tamia and a father to the unborn child.
The two decided to get married at the courthouse and decided to have a ceremony after the baby was born. That moment would be sooner than expected because the next day, Ari Moon was born on July 28th, 1996.
Their marriage ceremony was a month later and they had the support of both of their families. Ji-Hoon's parents were excited to have a granddaughter to spoil rotten, and his platonic soulmate along with his partner were over the moon happy to be uncles. They even made 'My Uncles' Moon' onesies for her that her parents adored.
Tamia's parents were thankful that their daughter didn't have to go through life alone and in pain; so her family supported them fully having known Ji-Hoon and his family for so long. Both their families secretly wished for this marriage since they were kids. Now everyone has a bundle of joy to raise together, Ari.
Over the years Ari grew up strong-willed and kindhearted. She was informed about her birth father and is grateful that he named her. She has pictures that her mom had kept, some oversized sweatshirts, and a letter he wrote to her the day he discovered her mom was pregnant. He just knew they were having a girl. Without knowing him she loves him dearly.
Even though Ji-Hoon is technically her stepdad, she calls him nothing less than her father. He's all she's ever known and he's never treated her less than a daughter. She's happy to carry his last name and be his family, he even went the extra mile and legally adopted her the day she was born just in case for legal reasons.
Ari has a little brother named Jae Moon. He's three years younger than her but much taller and plays the older brother role. He's very protective of his sister, even whenever she meets her soulmate, he's not letting up. But she's the same with him. Girls always want to talk to Jae because of his mixed features; smooth light brown skin, curly black hair, definitely going to be over 6 feet like their dad, crescent eyes when he smiles, and a trait they both have from their mother's side, beautifully bright hazel mixed with green eyes. (And it doesn't help that he has some piercings and tattoos in the future.)
When Ari was 16 and Jae was 13, their dad revealed that they'd be moving to Seoul, South Korea so he could continue to run their family business. Afraid the kids would be upset, the parents were pleasantly surprised that the kids were alright with the decision. They both have been speaking English and Korean since they were able to talk so communication was no issue. They only ask for small things.... Specifically that they bring as many hair care products, food, and all the seasonings as they can.
Going to high school was rocky at first for the siblings for a variety of reasons but the main one was that they were black people in a country that hardly had any. However, they were prepared for this and the way they were raised was simple, 'Never Scared'. Soon they both made some pretty decent friends and people started to refer to them as the golden siblings. They felt the pair were good at anything they tried, and the fact that their skin glowed golden compared to everyone else.
Being in South Korea had a major flaw, clothes did not fit Ari and her mother's body type. So Ari began to sew and make all of their clothes. She even made clothes for her dad and brother with more of a style from home mixed in with their styles. Her posting on Social Media, got Ari a lot of recognition. She ended up opening an online store selling her handmade clothes, lashes, jewelry, and even graphic and embroidered designs; customers out of the country just had to send in their measurements if they wanted custom pieces. Her family was financially taken care of so the money she made, she strictly saved and used to restock inventory. When she did leisurely spend, it was for her family's gifts for birthdays and holidays.
As time went on, Ari continued to blossom gracefully with beauty compared to none. After graduating high school, she attended Korea University in Seoul and received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Fashion Design. And went back for her Masters in both.
Jae met his soulmate in his senior year of high school. She was an army brat from Texas but her and her parents are from the Philippines. Her name is Kelsi. Ari has never seen him so loving with someone outside of their family and she couldn't be happier for them both. Kelsi was a bit scared to meet Ari because she's always been a fan of her work, following her online. Plus the kids at school told her she's very protective of her brother. Turns out they get along great and Ari already considers her a sister. Kelsi even helps model her clothes sometimes.
Ari lives in a secure apartment building in the city near the campus. It's big enough for her and all of her business items. Jae and Kelsi now stay in the same building just three floors down. Ari is now 24, turning 25 soon, and is graduating with her Masters in a week. She still hasn't found her soulmate. As content as she is with waiting, she's starting to feel that she'll never find them. She slowly strokes the arm of her 7 Chakras soulmate mark and hopes that they find their way toward each other.
Little did she know that seven gorgeously handsome men were still looking for their last soulmate and feeling the same way as she was. Since they bonded, the guys already knew they were missing one more person and they just had to search more to find them; The only one for them.
