Shirai's P.O.V.
It was a few days after the sports festival, and he was still having nightmares. It was the same thing every time; the image of his headless sister in the bed of asters, the bright violet, yellow and green colors peeking out from under the crimson.
It was never this bad; probably triggered by the fresh memory of it, as he'd never really remembered exactly what his late family's dead bodies had looked like.
He and Asuka were becoming good friends, despite having different classes. Shirai planned to introduce her and Kyouka sometime, maybe on a weekend.
Today was the first day back to school, and it was raining outside. Feeling a strong urge to just stay in bed and skip school, Shirai lay there motionless for several seconds. After finally finding the willpower to get out of bed, he quickly rolled off his bed and onto the floor lest it go away.
Getting up with a groan, the white-haired boy stretched, hearing the satisfying sound of his joints popping.
After the usual morning routine, Shirai decided not to bother with an umbrella, running to class while holding his bag above his head to provide some meager shelter from the rain.
As soon as he arrived at the classroom, he was hit with a wave of noise.
"It's different when they broadcast the matches on TV after all, huh? So many people talked to me on my way here!" Mina said excitedly.
"Yeah, me too!" Kirishima grinned, agreeing with the pink-skinned girl.
"People were staring at me, too. It was kind of embarrassing!" Hagakure said, placing a seemingly empty sleeve against her chest
"Isn't that kind of normal for you though?" Ojiro responded, with a light tone.
Sero looked like he'd died inside. "I had some elementary schoolers suddenly tell me 'Don't worry about it'." He recalled when Todoroki had completely immobilized him in the first few seconds, and the entire crowd had started chanting, "Don't worry about it!".
Asui, with her head on her desk, decided to provoke Sero further. "Don't worry about it!"
Sero grabbed his head and wailed, collapsing on the ground in a dramatic heap.
Shirai made his way to his seat silently, save for the small greeting he gave Kyouka.
Suddenly, the door to the classroom slid open, and the students, who had previously been lounging on their desks and talking to their friends, immediately raced to their seats and sat up properly. The mood immediately went from carefree and lighthearted to serious.
"Morning." Aizawa said, hair hanging over his face.
The class responded in unison, which Shirai found quite funny for absolutely no reason at all.
"Kero? Aizawa-sensei, your bandages are gone. I'm glad." Asui said, a finger up to her mouth.
The tired-looking pro hero just said, "The old lady went overboard with her treatment. More importantly, we're having a special hero informatics class today."
A bunch of the students started looking nervous, imagining tests regarding laws and other boring stuff.
"We're going to be coming up with hero names."
The entire class immediately leapt up from the seats and cheered, except for Shirai, Todoroki, Bakugou and Lida.
Aizawa activated his quirk, eyes blazing red. Everybody immediately fell silent, returning to their upright postures faster than Lida could run.
