Jennie POV
"Jennie, you're here. Come in." She said with a smile, and I quickly entered the room. I felt a bit relieved that the dean seemed to be in a good mood, but I was still curious about why she wanted to see me.
"So, what's up, Dean?" I said, emphasizing her title. I slumped down onto the long sofa in her office, trying to appear relaxed but still feeling a bit annoyed.
"Hmm, actually I called you because we have new transferees, they want to meet you, and I also want you to announce in the Auditorium that we have new transfers in the school, and their parents." I noticed that she seemed hesitant about whether she should continue with what she was going to say or not.
"Ano" bagot kong sabi.
"Ano kasi Jennie yung mga transferee natin, yung mga magulang nila, ay mga kaibigan ng magulang mo"
I suddenly stopped when she mentioned that, and I have so many Whys?! that I want to ask now."Why?" Mahinang tanong ko, I saw pity in hee eyes. Pity that I knew was for me, pity that I didn't want to see, pity that I didn't want to feel because I didn't want to be pitied. I didn't want that kind of pity because it only made me feel worse about myself.
"Why do you even need me?! You're the Dean, not me!" I shouted at her, and I could see the surprise in her expression at my outburst.
"And did I already tell you that I absolutely hate hearing that kind of story?" I said, my eyes starting to well up with tears again.
"And that! That pity you're showing me, I don't need it! Do you understand?!" I suddenly stopped myself, not wanting her to see me cry again.
"So can you please just leave me out of it? I don't care about whoever transfer students you're talking about!" She just looked at me, as if observing my reactions.
"Because I don't care if...if my parents have connections with the parents of the transfer students, or if they're friends with them. Because I don't have...I don't have parents anymore. They left me, abandoned me. They don't need me. So please, never mention that I'm a Corpin's child again." I didn't hear any response from her.
Suddenly, someone entered the room, so I took a deep breath and wiped my eyes.
"Hi Dean, where is Tita Khea's daughter? I want to meet her. I have a lot of stories to tell her about her mom and dad. I want her to know that her mommy and daddy are very kind, and that Tita Khea cooks really well. I miss her cooking, it's just too bad that they can't come home because of Jha-" I suddenly turned to him and gave him a dirty look.
"Can you please shut up? You're so noisy!" I shouted, and they were all surprised at my outburst, giving me disapproving looks.
"So ano ngayon ede kayo na!" sigaw ko ulit.
He was one of the men who were blocking the door, but he moved aside to let me in.
"Hey are you crazy? sino po ba sya Dean" Tanong nang nakaputing lalaki.
"Ah, she's the one--" Tanda didn't get to finish what she was saying as I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Sya yung top 1 sa board, diba gusto nyo syang makilala" kinakabahan man ngunit pinili nyang ayusin ang pananalita nya.
"Ahh oo, pero si Jennie po yung anak ni tita Khea?" Tanong nang lalaking yellow, sasagot na sana si tanda ng pangunahan ko sya.
"She doesn't study here, she said she doesn't want to study here." I said gently.
