The Dream

I was cold, wet. It was very dark.. I couldn't open my eyes, and my chest hurt. 'Whats happening?' I very suddenly realized I was drowning. I couldn't breathe. 'Is this.. The ocean? Am I going to die here? Before I got to enjoy it..' I began sinking. I felt my chest tighten up, and sucked in frantically before remembering I was still under water. I began choking, and suffocating under the water. I could feel my lungs and throat burn. The pressure if how deep I was under the water felt like it was crushing me. Everything went dark. I was faintly aware that I was sinking, and emerged into total darkness. I was slightly aware of something touching me, but that was it. I open my eyes a single time to see a dark, blurry figure, with the tail of a fish, and the torso of a man. It had pale skin, and piercing silver eyes.

Then I woke up.

Gasping for air, I shot up in bed, hitting my head on the ceiling. 'A dream?' I looked around my room, to see Armin in the bunk under me, and my tidy bedroom. I lay back in the bed and sigh. 'What was that..those eyes. I'll never forget them.' I fall back asleep, into blackness, and I don't dream the rest of the night.
