Levi's POV

My eyes were closed, but I knew I was on a sandy beach. I could also feel a strange presence hovering above me.
"Is he alive?" It was a male's voice. The man smelled salty, very fishy. But who wouldn't? The next was a female.
"Yes, yes, he's alive. Don't get your tail in a twist" Tail?
"I'm not getting my tail in a twist, I want to make sure he didn't die, fishy four-eyes" Four-eyes?? I opened one eye to see the man. He had a bored expression, and a straight jaw line. It seemed he had raven colored hair, with an undercut. He noticed me and looked at me.
"See?? Alive." The female again.
"Shut up and get in the water!"
As soon as I opened my eyes I saw them both move away. I heard a splash. I looked around to see nothing but ripples in the water.
"H..hello?" I looked around to see one peek a head out of the water.
"Come out, guys. I'm not dangerous" They hesitated.
"But.. We are." I looked at the face in the water. It was the male. He halfway came out of the water, where I could only see his bare chest. The woman came up to with.. Seashells on her chest? What? They both look well built.
"You don't look..." I trailed off. I saw they eyes. Those piercing silver eyes. I gasped, and sat up. He looked at me strangley.
"Are you ok?" I couldn't speak. I suddenly remembered everything. Mikasa, Armin, the storm, the burning sensation in my chest, my lungs..drowning. The eyes. It all came back.
"Who are you?!" They didn't say anything. "Answer me!" The man spoke first.
"I'm Levi, this is Hanji, the annoying as hell fish who doesn't shut-"
"Fish?!" Then I saw it. The dark green tail, partly out of the water. All I could do was stare at it. Levi followed my gaze, seeing the tail, and groaned.
"Damn it, Hanji!" He growled. She sat there, obviously unaware she had had her tail in plain sight.
"Were you just not going to tell me?!"
"No, listen-" I cut the female off.
"Was I never going to know?" I stared at Levi.
"Listen" he started, " we wanted to save you and leave. No one is even supposed to know about our existence." I stared confused. It must have been on my face because he sighed.
"We are nearly extinct."
