“Oh no!” I whispered so no one would hear me.

Everyone thought I was asleep but really, I'm not. Today Dad said we were going to the dentist and I don't want to! He's just going to poke my mouth and I don't want him to.

My tooth started hurting yesterday after dinner. I was eating then something cracked in my mouth. Mummy says it might've been my tooth and that I have to see a dentist.

There goes my Saturday.

The side of my mouth was hurting a lot so I distracted myself by playing games on my tablet. It worked for a little while until I started losing.

I wanted to go back to sleep but my tooth didn't let me. It was like something was stabbing it really hard and that side was getting bigger.

I want it to stop!

I put my tablet back on its charger and went to find mummy. She'll make the pain go away.

I held Mr Dino so he could make all the monster in the dark go away since I wasn't tall enough to reach the light switch. I made it to her room without any monsters getting me and knocked on the door.

When I didn't get an answer, I knocked again and again and again and again till mummy came out.

“Olly? What's the matter, sweetie?” I pointed to the side of my mouth that was hurting. “Is the pain that bad?” I nodded.

She gave my a kiss on the other cheek and held may hand so we could go downstairs again. She was able to turn the lights on so Mr Dino could rest.

We went to the kitchen and she got me some warm water and salt to rinse my mouth with. It was gross but I was feeling better after.

“Want to sleep in my room?” Mummy offered as we went up the stairs.

I nodded again, rubbing my sleepy eyes. I climbed in the bed with her and Dad and soon, I was in dreamland.

I felt so bad waking Oliver up for breakfast but I had to. The boy was still obviously tired and hurting. He whined in his sleep all the while he was with us, even sobbed at some point. We needed to get him to the doctor quick.

He got his teeth brushed gently and ate his oatmeal quietly. The left side of his jaw was twice it's size and red. We put an ice pack on it for the time being.

Our appointment wasn't for another hour so we let him watch TV while to kill time. Alhan was trying to play with his brother but he wasn't in the mood which made Alhan angry.

“Oyii!” He called, smashing his hands on Oliver's thigh.

“I don't want to play right now.” Oliver grumbled, looking back to the TV.

“Oyii!!” Alhan's lips folded to a pout and he sat on the floor, throwing his hands up.

“Okay Alhan, come here.” Nathan pulled him over, giving him a few pats to stop the approaching tantrum. “Olly isn't doing so good today so he can't play.”

“Wan Oyii.” The baby whined with a bigger pout.

“Olly's sick, he can't play.” Seeing that the boy didn't understand or want to understand, Nathan made a suggestion. “Why don't you give Olly a hug, so he'll feel better?”

Alhan didn't mind hugging people, it was his favorite thing to do after hiding behind the couch. The hug turned into them cuddling till Oliver and I had to leave for the dentist.
