Harry Potter woke up lying on the ground, among rubble. He was very confused at the moment. Where was he? How did he get there? As memories came flashing back to him, he remembered. He just defeated Voldemort during The War. He was lying in the rubble of Hogwarts. A small part of the school had been destroyed during the battle. He felt pain surging through him as he tried to get up. He realized he must have hurt himself when he fell unconscious, adding to the pain of Voldemort's curses and jinxes. But he finally did it. He defeated the greatest Dark Wizard in history. He fought his pain and got up, looking around. There were many dead bodies around, and among them were several badly injured wizards and witches. As he was looking around in remorse, he saw two very familiar faces lying in the rubble. He didn't believe his eyes. Not them! Harry ran over to the dead bodies and collapsed to the ground beside them.
"NOOOO." Harry screamed as his heart seemed to be ripping itself apart.
Not his best friends. Not Ron and Hermione. They died together, holding hands. This sight hurt Harry too much. He loved them. There was no way he could resist this. He had to go quickly. He bent over and gave them each a last hug. Harry moved away as fast as his pain allowed him to. He had to find Dumbledore. After searching for what seemed like hours, Harry found him. Dumbledore was on the ground, unconscious. Harry bent over and tried waking him up.
"Professor Dumbledore! Professor Dumbledore! Wake up, please sir!"
The wise wizard slowly opened his eyes. His glasses were crooked on his nose. The professor fixed them and looked at Harry worryingly.
"Harry my boy, I'm alright. How are you feeling? You seem very shaken up. Is the war over? Did we win?"
"I don't know if I am, Professor," Harry said shakingly "Ron and Hermione are dead. I feel as I am dying inside, I loved them. But yes sir, we won the war. Many people have lost their lives and others are severly injured."
"Oh Harry," Dumbledore said caringly "It's okay, my boy. They lived good lives, and died for the Wizarding World. They will have a proper buring. I am quite shaken by the news myself. As to you, Harry, I am very proud of you. You did it, my boy, you did it. Now let's get you to Madam Pomfrey's to get you all cleaned up. I will take care of the dead bodies and take the injured ones to Madam Pomfrey's also."
With that, Dumbledore got up unsteadily. He walked together with Harry through the rubble all the way to the Hospital Wing which was intact. Madam Pomfrey was passed out in one of the beds. The men approached her and proceeded to wake her up. She asked what happened and got informed quickly. The medi-witch took Harry and put him into one of the beds. After getting all of his wounds cleaned, Harry took a shower. He then went to find survivors. Among the survivors, were the professors, and most students. Harry felt as though he was dead, but not because of the war.
