"One more box to go," I sigh as I clean the storage room at the shop

"One more box to go," I sigh as I clean the storage room at the shop. My boss made it tradition to clean the shop every August, which means I had the 'lovely' cleaning job.  To say this man was a hoarder would be an understatement. There are antique clocks and watches in one box, ornaments in another, and even first edition books, and I had the honour of organizing them and adding them to the inventory. Fun, right?

I worked at an antique shop

I finally got to the last one when my phone rang. I hastily dropped everything to reach my phone to check the ID. Moretti Designs. I've been waiting all day for this call.

"Pronto. Cleo Adams speaking." I cross my fingers.

"Ms. Adams, hello. My name is Carter, Mr. Moretti's assistant. I'm calling to let you know that you have been chosen as one of the musicians for the annual autumn ball," he had me at 'approved'.

I do a silent happy dance before I answer, "Thank you. Thank you so much," I say with joy evident in my voice.

"I will send the information you need in an email later today. Don't be late," he hangs up.

Hear that, everyone? Moretti Designs meets Cleo Adams!

🥰

Pronto- one of the ways Italians answer their phone, basically a 'hello'
