Ch. 5 - Juseung

KOREABOO: Solo Idol, Rea Lim, has taken a big jump and has decided to come out on the upcoming survival show, Song of the Girls.

Rea Lim debuted when she was just fourteen years old, a prodigy at both singing and dancing. On top of her skills, she is a girl with a face of a doll, and her personality marks the point of an angel. She was recruited by AM Entertainment, one of the top entertainments. At the age of twelve, she became a trainee. While continuing middle school, she worked hard to debut as a top hit idol.

Now, we are uncertain why Rea Lim has decided to try debuting in an idol group when she has already succeeded in her career. As a twenty year old artist, she will fight for a debut spot in a group of twelve girls out of one hundred.

"The last survivor is Do Awon! Therefore, these are the thirty-two survivors remaining on Song of the Girls!" The MC looked towards the seats filled with thirty two girls. "Juseung-ssi, please give a word as to being first place of the first round.

I stood up and bowed. "Hello Hummingbirds! Thank you for giving me the honor of letting me sit on the seat of first place. I would never be able to make it to this spot without you. Thank you so much for voting for me, and I promise to work harder!" I bowed again as I sat back down on my seat.

"Yes, thank you, Juseung-ssi. May I please have a word from Rea-ssi?"

Rea, rank twelve, stood up and bowed. "Hi Hummingbirds! Thank you for gifting me such a high ranking. It means a lot, and I never thought I would even make it to twelfth place. Thank you so much for loving me, and I will work harder!" She smiled brightly at the camera in front of her and sat back down.

The MC smiled up at us before staring at the camera. "Well, then while we are all here, I shall announce the next mission. In the third mission, you will be placed in a group of eight to perform a song by XOXO. They are one of the hottest groups in our nation currently. You are given a time limit of one week, and you will perform the song in front of mentors next Saturday." He winked. "I hope to see all of you, including Hummingbirds, there." The stage under him began to sink, and his face gradually vanished from view.

From a loudspeaker, a voice was heard. "Then, Musicals, please move to the auditorium to announce the groups. Eliminated Musicals, please exit towards stage left. If lost, please ask the staff members. I repeat..." As the voice repeated the message, I linked arms with Jisoo and moved down the steps.

"I can't believe I place third place...it's like a dream come true..." Jisoo leaned on my right shoulder. "Don't you think?"

I patted her head. "More like you deserve it."

Jisoo grinned. "I can't believe people are actually out there voting for us. I might become a celebrity!"

"Considering the amount of votes you're getting, I think you already are a celebrity."

"You think?"

"I don't think, I know."

Jisoo playfully punched me in the arm. "You're so arrogant."

"I know."

I felt a tap on my shoulder, so I turned around to see Rea. "Rea unnie! Congratulations!"

Rea hugged me from behind. "Congrats to you too." She noticed Jisoo, and smiled at her. "You too, Jisoo. You moved up twenty ranks! That's very impressive!"
