Chapter 16

I was tapped on the shoulder by someone. I turned around to see an interviewer and camera crew. Shocked, I had completely forgotten this was being broadcasted on national television.

"Hello Mia, I'm John Sands. I wanted to know if you'd be up to answer some questions on your glorious routines and stunning win today?" John Sands, the older looking man asked me. He smiled at me politely.

"Sure, would you like to go to the seats or just stay here?" I said smiling back at him. I could feel eyes burning the back of my head and I knew they were Kendall's.

"Here is fine." John said giving a signal to his camera man."Hello everybody! I'm John Sands and I'm reporting to you live from Regionals. I'm joined with the amazing Mia Styles, say hi Mia."

"Hey, I'm Mia!" I said waving into the camera. I was in quite shock that I had just won Regionals and now on television.

"So Mia, how does it feel to be called 'the new Gabby Douglas' and also how does it feel winning this meet?" John asked me.

"Well, I had no idea I was given that nickname, but it's an honor to be compared to someone as great as her!" I exclaimed."Winning this competition is just like surreal to me and it's funny because it's only Regionals, like I can't imagine if I won the Olympics!"

"So Mia, tell us on your future plans about gymnastics and how the competition was today."

"To start off with, the competition was fierce. It was tough to beat, but I think what really helped me win today was having my brother here as a support system." I said while turning around to quickly look at Harry but he was too busy talking to Kendall to notice me." As for my future plans, I plan on going to the Olympics next year and just really trying to excel in gymnastics." I said smiling straight into the camera.

"One last question before we let you go. What's something you have to say to young gymnasts and girls that look up to you?"

"To anyone out there who wants to be like me, just always believe in yourself and just have the determination to achieve what you want to achieve. I know at times it can be tough, but don't give up because if you do, you'll never know how good you've done." I said into the camera.

"Well that's very inspiring Mia. That's all the time we have know, but good luck Mia on your win and your future. I'm John Sands and this is Mia Styles everyone!" John said into the camera before it was shut off. Before I walked away I took a picture with John and posted it on my Instagram with the caption saying "Just got interviewed for the telly!"

When I went back to where my gym bag was I looked around envying everyone. All gymnast had parents and supporting friends around, and all I had was a brother making out with his girlfriend. Why would anyone want to be like me? I'm just a gymnast with a famous brother who pretends to care.

I shook my head to stop myself from crying before grabbing my bag and heading over to where Harry and Kendall was. I had to cough to get them to realize that I was there. They said nothing to me, but simply just started to walk out of the building.

Our car ride was quiet and uncomfortable for me, until Harry dropped Kendall off at her house. I was finally able to talk to Harry.

"Did you see me stick my landing on vault?" I said quietly to Harry, while picking at my nails.

"Erm, yeah I did. Vault is that thing with that springboard right?" Harry said unsure of what he was talking about while keeping his eyes fixed on the road.

"Yeah."

"Mia I have to tell you something." Harry said. This time he turn around to face me before he turned his head back on the road.

"Go on."

Harry took a breath before speaking."You can't go to the Olympics because you'll be on tour with me at that time."

My heart stopped. I couldn't breath, it felt like I had been shot. Anger started to boil inside of me. He know how much this means to me! I've worked so hard for this!

"I could stay with a host family. I-I'm going to the Olympics Harry, if I qualify for it then I'm going."

"Well, we'll have to try and see what we can do."
