6 o'clock in the morning came quicker then intended. My alarm blasting to wake me up did not help my major hangover. I groaned before turning my alarm off.

I rubbed my eyes trying to wake up. I was able to stumble out of bed and into the bathroom for a quick shower.

I let the warm water run and hit my body relaxing my tense muscle and wake me. After showering I got changed into my uniform and went over to do some foundation and concealer to make myself look a little more awake.

I messily put my hair into a half up half down hairstyle before grabbing my bag and walking downstairs to meet Tommy, so we could walk to school together.

I groaned as I walked into my science class. I walked over to my seat, but some girl was in it writing in a journal.

"Excuse me, but uh, your in my seat." I said nicely to the girl so she wouldn't think I was rude. This girl must be new her because I have never noticed her before.

"Oh sorry - Mia, is that you?" The girl questioned me. I started back confused until it click in my head.

"Mariah, it can't be you! We haven't talked since we were like what, six!" I exclaimed as I embraced Mariah in a hug. She hugged me back.

Before we could catch up on anything the bell rang. I took my usual seat as Mariah sat next to me.

I did figure out thought that she has the same lunch with me, so we could catch up then.

••••

Lunch came around and I sat next to Tommy and Mariah. Tommy had his arm around my waist holding me protectively.

"So when did you move here?" I asked Mariah as I picked at my worn down nails.

"I actually just moved here a week ago and this is my first day here." Mariah took a drink of her water. "Last time I checked you weren't living here either?"

"No, I'm actually being hosted by Tommy's family." I smiled at Tommy. He planted a short kiss on my cheek, causing me to blush.

Mariah seemed really uncomfortable with Tommy and I, until Noah came over and sat down across from her.

"Who's the newbie?" Noah asked as he dug into his meal. I laughed at how stupid he was.

"Mariah? You going to introduce yourself?" I said trying to snap Mariah out of staring Noah down.

"What? Sorry, I'm Mariah." Mariah blushed as she smiled. She looked down avoided eye contact for the rest of our lunch with Noah.

••••
"I'll see you later!" I called out to Mariah and Noah as Tommy and I started to walk back to his house hand in hand.

"I have practice today." I frowned as I informed Tommy. Tommy sighed, which I know it's because of my practice.

""Why can't you just stay home and chill with me?" Tommy questioned me.

"Because, it's important silly!" I said before release myself from Tommy and running off. "Bet you can't get me."

"Seriously, you're acting like you're five." Tommy laughed as he ran after me. I started to slow down to let him get caught up.

Tommy came running past me, but he swiftly grabbed me and was able to pick me up as he ran by.

By this time we had reached his house and Tommy put me down so no one could see. Even though we aren't a thing as of right now, I still don't think his parents would be fond of us together so soon.

I walked into the chalk smelling gym. I could hear the routine music blasting through speakers and the sounds of body collided with mats all at once.

I was finally in a place I call home. I was in my comfort zone. I walked into the locker room to out my bag and stuff down.

Once I had gotten that done, I had went over to the open mats to stretch and warm up.

I had a private scheduled for today, so shortly after my coach had arrived and came over by me.

"Alright Mia, I'd like to start you off with floor and vault today. I will have to cut the private short though so we only have an hour and fifteen minutes today, but you can come back tomorrow to finish the private if you'd like." My coach told me as we started to walk over to the floor first.

I walked onto the middle of the mat and put my head down. I could hear my heart beat as I waited for coach to put my music on.

The music started, and I did my step forward dance move, and step back to my running pass of a round off back-handspring full twist layout. Sticking the landing into a full turn round off full round off handspring to double pike with a wobbly landing. I mean tally cursed at myself for that stupid slip up.

I then do a split jump toe touch to a switch leap switch leap to the other side of the mat. I breath in and take my powerful run into my round off double arabian with another wobbly landing from all my power. I then went into a simple back extension roll into another running pass. I did a front walkover front handspring into a double front. Sticking that landing I pose and push my head back with a flick of my wrist up to the air and having my right foot on the ball of my foot.

"I messed up my landings." Was the first thing I said to my coach as I came out of my ending pose.

"It was okay. Everything was mostly good except for the landings. You need to keep you emotions hidden when you mess up though because you make it more apparent then." My coach strictly said. "Do it again and if it's not perfect we won't move on.

I went back into the mat and did it again with messing up my last landing, which caused me to do it another five times until I finally had stuck all my landings and had no errors.

We then went to vault. I really just wanted to go home and sleep from doing floor so many times, so now I was going to put all I got into this vault.

I ran powerful into my layout tsuk vault. I stuck my landing with both tries, earning me to be released and able to go sleep off my pain I could already feel started to form.
