Little Dragon planning too far ahead

Madam He didn't know whether she should laugh or cry, thinking a small little brat to be able to have such advanced thoughts. This boy might be a carp right now, but who knew when he would leap through the Dragon gate and transform into a dangerous man.

"What a cheeky little brat you have there." There was a smile on Madam He's face, but it never reached her eyes. Instead, they had a dangerous glint swimming inside.

She reached her manicured fingers out and gave the insolent juvenile's face a pinch before retreating, barely missing the tiny sharp fangs of the baby dragon. Snapping her fan back open and hiding her lower face with it, she spoke.

"Fine" --Bai Shuyin almost dropped her entire body to the ground and started kissing Madam He's feet, yes, she no longer had pride-- "However, you better keep that kid on a leash. Who knows where he might have run off and lost one or two limbs."

The white-haired transmigator could feel sweat dripping down her face and chills down her spine at the low and dangerous tone of Madam He.

Surely, she didn't really like the look of Madam He on her little steamed bun. It just made her overprotectiveness surged, going haywire. She was probably just thinking too much about it, but she really wasn't looking forward to coming back to see the little brother she raised wholeheartedly missing a limb or even worse, fully dismembered.

Nevertheless, Bai Shuyin had acted like a grateful little shit and tried to divert Madam He's attention from Wang Heiyue by bowing profusely and telling how compassionate she was being until Madam He got tired of it and ordered one of the maids to usher them both into the inn above the tea house.

The room was small and simple, with only a wooden bed, a wooden table, and two wooden stools, but it was more than enough.

The bed was huge for the two of them. It was not like they never shared a bed before.

Bai Shuyin dropped their worn out bags near the stools, striding towards the window. She intended to open it and get some fresh air, but recalling the hot weather, she decided against it.

Turning her heels, she padded towards the wooden bed and sat on the comforter with a sigh. It was so much softer than the one they had in the hut.

"Yin Yin likes it?"

Bai Shuyin turned towards the owner of the voice, almost smiling as she looked at the disarrayed hair of Wang Heiyue. The steamed bun was standing by the stools beside their storage bags with a serious look on his face.

"En!" The white-haired transmigrator nodded. Who wouldn't? She landed a stable job for the both of them, she could protect Wang Heiyue without the fear of being ambushed in the middle of the night and sleep peacefully as well.

She would give him the childhood he never had, would pamper him with a lot of love so that he wouldn't have to rely on the rice bucket female lead for it. Which reminded her, she had to take a closer look one more time if Wang Heiyue would really end up with her.

She had to know if that female lead was actually worth it for Wang Heiyue.

If she really was exactly like how the novel described her as, Bai Shuyin should better start looking for a better candidate that could actually match her steamed bun, not someone lower with a huge pumpkin head that lacked common sense.

"Come here," Bai Shuyin waved him over, in which he walked over without any complaint like he always was. He was always obedient to her, listening to her well and it warmed her heart uncontrollably. "Let me comb your hair."

She patted the spot beside her and the little steamed bun climbed up almost instantly, giving her his back. Bai Shuyin took out a comb under her sleeves and released Wang Heiyue's high ponytail.

In ancient times, men had very long hair and even without those shampoo modern people used, their hair was really silk and healthy. Bai Shuyin combed Wang Heiyue's hair before carefully braiding it.

She kept on changing Wang Heiyue's hairstyle based on her mood and Wang Heiyue never protested. He just stayed still and let her do whatever she wanted.

Wang Heiyue didn't move either this time, humming when white and gentle fingers slipped across his scalp and untangling the knots from his hair.

If Bai Shuyin could comb his hair everyday and forever like this, he wouldn't give a damn about the world. He would even make a mess out of his hair just to feel her slender fingers sliding through his hair.

An idea suddenly popped into his mind. Bai Shuyin's hair was always let loose, she never braided it, just leaving the sparkly white hair flowing down her back. It was permissible for women to have loose or braid hair before marriage, but they had to wear it up after marrying.

His hand unconsciously went up to clutch the diamond shaped pendant hanging from his chest. The diamond was cerulean blue in color, exactly the same shade as Bai Shuyin's eyes. He could make an elegant hairpin out of it, a hairpin that would bring out her eye colors and the pretty color would contrast with her fair skin.

Not to mention, it would remind her of him and the whole world who she belonged to.

Fortunately, before the possessiveness seeped out through his pores, Bai Shuyin had decided to use that moment to pat his shoulder, indicating she had finished styling his hair.

Bai Shuyin asked him to turn around, in which he released his hold on the pendant and turned, allowing  her to admire her own handiwork. With his hair rising high, Wang Heiyue's distinctive features were completely revealed. His face was still full of baby fat and was chubby, but those eyes were always sharp and piercing.

Bai Shuyin felt like she had flown up in the sky. This baby she raised so hard was going to grow into a very, very fine man. His looks would definitely fascinate countless people.

"Ah Yue, Ah Yue," Bai Shuyin poked his cheeks. "Big sis have a question for you."
