Octavius opened his eyes, the burning sunrise daring to wake him up. But this was confusing. Why was he awake? Was he entering heaven? Hell? What was happening?
When he touched his face, his glasses were on his head. Did he have glasses on his face when he fell into the river?
Wait, what river?
His head throbbed with an oncoming headache. He looked towards a shattered mirror, he was wearing his black turtleneck that he swore he left at her house. His trench coat and his actuators were still here.
Wait, who exactly is 'her'?
The way he thought about her, it seemed so beautiful. So heavenly. The way he said 'her' rolled off his tongue like fine wine. She sounded like someone he deeply cared for. But for the life of Octavius, he couldn't remember who she was or what she looked like.
But god, the tears that rolled down his cheeks made it seem like he was in love. Even if he couldn't remember who this woman was.
Octavius started thinking, trying to remember anything. A familiar, yet memorable, scent filled his nose. He looked around, only seeing a junkyard. He pulled his turtleneck closer, smelling vanilla and pancake mix. It was such an odd scent, but it warmed his whole entire body. It smelled like home...
But where was home?
Octavius roamed the streets of a very updated New York City. Nothing looked familiar. Everything was electronic, so fast forward. It scared Octavius a little bit. He didn't know where he was or who he knew.
Then it came.Octavius remembered his machine being destroyed by Spider Man. He remembered having him by the throat, about to rule the city with his invention. But everything else was hazy.
What happened to him?
Octavius was furious. He couldn't remember a thing, and his machine was lost. His actuators were talking rather loudly as well. His thoughts were now fixed on finding Peter Parker, and getting his machine back.
He started causing chaos on a highway, ignoring the cries of civilians. And that's when he found Spider Man. On top of a car, in a new and high defined suit.
"Hello Peter." Octavius smirked while having anger build up.
"Uh hi?" Spider Man waved, looking rather confused at him. "Do... Do I know you?"
"What have you done with my machine?"
"You-You're machine? What machine?"
Octavius groaned, his actuators rising with little patience. "You wanna play games?" The actuators slammed into the roof of two cars, throwing them at Spider Man. "Catch!"
Spider Man dodged them, trying to save any civilians he could before getting picked up and slammed into a UPS truck. Spider Man groaned as he used his new spider legs to pull him to the top of the truck.
"I should've killed your little girlfriend when I had the chance." Octavius spoke in a dark tone.
Spider Man stiffened, anger filling his voice. "What did you just say?"
Octavius chuckled as he looked towards his actuator, "Looks like we've got competition."
Then the fight continued, and all while the rumbling of the fight shook the highway, Spider Man was trying to save one of the SUV's. Octavius threw concrete poles, cars, in fact anything he could to try and stop him. Spider Man webbed the car, saving it from the train below. Octavius smirked as he grabbed Peter with his actuators, and pinned him to the wall underneath the highway.
