When we arrived back at my father's house, the party was still going on, except everyone was drunk and everyone was dancing to music. It was an odd thing to see middle aged men to older men dancing like it's 1999.
I looked over at Octavius, who shrugged before walking us towards Sarah, who was undeniably intoxicated. She squealed and gripped me into a hug. I tapped her shoulder, not being able to breathe.
"Sorry! Sorry!"
I laughed after catching my breath, "It's okay."
"Where did you guys go? I was starting to miss you." She slurred as her empty glass was being waved in the air.I held Octavius's hand in both my hands, wanting to just go back to sleep. "We went to an aquarium and got some food."
Sarah gasped, holding her empty hand towards her heart, "Without me!?"
I smiled before using one of my hands to rub her arm, "Next time we can go."
She smiled widely before running off to who knows where. This house was massive. My father was nowhere to be seen, and all these drunk people talking rather loudly made my head hurt.I looked up at Octavius, nodding towards our room. "Wanna go back to bed?"
Octavius smirked before picking me up bridal style, "Please, this isn't the most grandest party."
I giggled as he walked us to our room. Going up a flight of stairs and opening our door. Once we were in, he closed the door and sighed. The music was muffled and it was more peaceful here.
Octavius sat me down before he fumbled with his buttons. I laughed before replacing his hands with mine. I slowly unbuttoned them, and as he slipped the shirt off completely, the actuators came out. Mo was the first to attack me with cuddles before the other three, Harry, Larry, Flo, cuddled against me as well.
Octavius sighed with relief as he sat on the bed, slipping his shoes off. "Hiding these actuators is so painful."
I stuck my bottom lip out, pouting for him. "Awe, are you okay? You poor baby."
Octavius gave me a look before I laughed. I slipped my sandals off before crawling on the bed and kneeling behind him. I lifted my hands to his upper back, massaging him with my thumbs and knuckles. A light moan came out of him as he tilted his head down.
"Have I ever told you that you're the greatest?" He moaned out as he moved his head with my thumbs.
I hummed, "Yes, but I like to hear it."
He chuckled as I rubbed a knot out. Moments like these will be my favorite things to look back to. How normal it all feels. And how peaceful everything was now. All of this was going to be the greatest memory I ever have.
"Your fingers have magic in them." He spoke as I slowly came to a stop.
I smiled before curling into the blankets and pulling them up to my chin. "I think I just know how to massage a person's back."
Octavius chuckled as he laid down, turned towards me. He pulled a strain of hair behind my ear, admiring me. I blushed and pulled the blankets closer to my face.
"What?" I asked.
Octavius leaned into his pillow, smiling. "You're so beautiful."
I giggled as the blushing never ceased. "I don't enjoy you making me blush this much."
"No? I love it." Octavius spoke before pulling me closer into a hug. His cologne smells expensive, but I missed his scent of cigars. That scent is what got me through the fourteen months of distance from him.
I closed my eyes, drifting into sleep. Well, not exactly into the deep slumber I wanted to be in since my father had to ruin the moment.
My father opened the door, laughing about something on his mind. "Otto?" He whisper yelled as that just made him laugh more.
I opened my eyes, seeing Octavius roll his eyes before turning towards my father. "Yes Mr. (L/N)?"
"Come down. Let's have some fun, what'da say?" My father slurred.Octavius looked back at me, giving me a questionable look. I just smiled and kissed his cheek. "Go. I'll be okay."
Octavius smiled before sitting up and slipping his button up back on. He walked out the door with my father, closing it behind them.
I blew air through my lips, cuddling up with the blankets and pillows. Octavius's cologne was drifting through the air, slowly evaporating into nothing. I closed my eyes, replaying our date in the aquarium. Then remembering how we first met.
Even if it was an accident, meeting him that night changed my life. He showed a side of love I have never felt or seen. And the way he treats me, as if I'm a star in his eyes. I feel like the happiest girl in the world.
The way he would hold my hand, kiss the top of it, and call me 'dear' or 'darling'. Not those stupid lovey names like 'baby' or babe'. I absolutely love his love language. Where we could just sit in silence, and enjoy each other's company. Or when we go on tangens of conversations and be up for hours, but it feels like five minutes.
These are the fondest memories I have with Octavius. These memories are what, I hope, give him a little push to go back to his normal life, before the accident. And I know that will never happen, but all I can do is hope for great things.
I groaned, tossing and turning in my bed. The sun was starting to set, and the music wasn't as loud anymore. I could hear Octavius' laugh come from the other side of the door before he opened it. I sat up, smirking at his demeanor. He was obviously intoxicated, and he was in swim trunks. I cocked an eyebrow.
"What are you doing?"
Octavius chuckled as he came into the room, his actuators following him. "Wanna go swimming? Your father somehow made these waterproof and I want to test it out."
I stood from the bed, one of the straps to my dress fell off my shoulder. "Is there still a party?"
Octavius nodded while staring at my exposed shoulder and neck. He licked his lips before meeting my eyes with his. "You're so beautiful."I walked up to him, wrapping my arms around his neck. His bare chest touched my skin, sending electricity through my veins. I could feel his muscles tense as his arms snaked around my back. He held me tightly, pressing his forehead against mine. His body heat warmed me up from the cool AC blowing at us.
I tilted my head, "You're drunk."
Octavius groaned as he let go so I could change in the bathroom. "But you're so beautiful." He watched me almost shut the door all the way. "Just a peek?"I half laughed before closing the door all the way. "Your drooling will get all over me."
I heard Octavius groan from the other side of the door, which made me laugh more. I grabbed the same swimsuit that I wore the other night with Sarah. I stripped and slipped it on, the coolness of the previous wear chilled my bones.
When I opened the door, Octavius almost fell over. I held my hand to my mouth, trying not to laugh. "I'm so sorry."
Octavius stabled himself, looking all over my body. I shivered between the cold bathing suit and the AC.
"You're so alluring, my dear."
I blushed, "Oh you're just drunk, but thank you."
Octavius grabbed my hand and rushed me downstairs, "C'mon. I haven't seen you wet."
I widened my eyes. "What did you just say?"
Octavius grinned, looking back at me, "Nothing, my dear."I eyed him cautiously. What did he mean by that?
