My hands reached for the back of my pocket, i didn't took any clients for this week so i am free. I just happened to pass by a flower shop where i usually come to when i was a college freshman. The beautiful tulips always caught my eye and back then i couldn't afford a bouquet of them and i would just stare at them till the owner kicks me out.

Nothing changed, it was just that I can use my extra money to buy something that i wanted without having to worry coming home to my drunk dad asking for money for another pack of cigarettes. I myself admit that ever since then, i've been at peace.

"Are you taking them?"

The owner looked older, of course she is. It's been 6 years since then.

She wrapped the flowers in a transparent bouquet, and right there, a smile formed on my face like it was the best thing that ever happened to me. The sun was perfectly up as i watch people pass by.

The moment i stepped on my apartment's door, i noticed the door wide open with all my things on the floor, i thought i was robbed so i immediately panicked turns out it was the land lady taking all my things out.

"Due rent and your excuses are too soon for  me, if this isn't business i wouldn't be doing this."

I sighed before nodding, i held back my tears as i started picking up my things on the floor shoving everything in.

"Yeah, that'd be fine.."

I handed her over my keys, i didn't wanna make a scene or ask her to let me stay for a little longer. I didn't wanna trouble people since my whole life i've been depending on what people pity me for.

My steps heavy as i walk out, noticing my tears were dropping down my tulips. I didn't know who else to call at times like this, rather than Timothee.

"Hello?"

My voice breaking as i speak.

"Timothee, can you please pick me up? I'd take the job you're offering me."

I didn't waited long, he pulled in front of me in the next couple of minutes i noticed we were already in the road, none of us speaking to one another. Maybe it was because he still remembers how i didn't wanna be bothered at times like this and i've always appreciate him for that.

He pulled over his driveway, parking his car before opening the passenger seat for me. My eyes widened at how huge his house is, i shouldn't be surprised at all either.

"Let's go inside, have some snacks and talk maybe?"

I nod, he opened the front door revealing the shiny marbled floor and the exquisite design of his home. I thought outside would be the main event but then again, his wealth has always impressed me in so many levels.

"What happened?"

His hand slide me a half cup of whiskey, i was never a drinker but i didn't wanna act rude so i took it in one sitting, my eyes shut at it's strong but rich taste.

"Got kicked out of my apartment.."

He eye sided the bouquet of flowers beside me.

"You visiting your dad?"

I shook my head confidently.

"No."

"For myself."

I heard him chuckle.

"Of course you did.."

"And speaking of my offer, don't you think you're rushing on your decision?"
