No one has updated me on the case but they also haven't asked for me so I'm hoping it's fine. I decided to text Spence.

"Hey."

"Hello, Y/N?"

"Oh yeah, sorry."

"No it's okay just wanted to make sure"

"How's the case?"

"Should be heading home soon, finishing up some paperwork right now. It was pretty quick."

"Oh okay, do you think we could hang out or something when the case is done?"

No response. One second, one minute, one hour goes by and nothing. I couldn't sleep, regretting sending that text. Eventually I fell asleep while worrying.

I woke up to a text and a missed call from Hotch. The text was from Spencer but the anxiety was too much so I just decided to call Hotch back. Turns out he was just telling me to pack up and get everyone some coffee for the plane ride.

I packed my stuff, still thinking about all the different ways Spencer could've rejected me in one text. He could've wrote a word, sentence, paragraph... thinking about it made me feel worse. I decided just to finish packing, get coffee and then check just to give myself some time.
