Escaping

After the whole speech and gift giving Emma was separated from her friends and went with the group that was going back to the prison. She got shoved back into her cell. Police Officer Steel had left to go eat.
"Psst! Daniele!" Emma whispered.
"Yeah, what is it Emma?" Daniele whispered back.
"You know the Lord's new girlfriend?" Emma whispered.
"Yeah. She's awfully pretty you know. I wish I owned a dress like hers!" Daniele whispered.
"Well, she's my mother." Emma whispered.
"YOU'RE MOTHER!" Daniele shrieked. All the kids in the other cells turned around and stared at Daniele.
"What's wrong Daniele?" asked Annabelle.
"Old Steely is going to barge right in here if you don't keep it down!" complained Tom.
"The reason why she's yelling is because I told her that the Lord's girlfriend is my mother." said Emma calmly. Everybody has their mouthed wide open with awe. They were put out of their trances by a ringing of the door bell. Police Officer Steel came marching in towards the door. When he opened Emma was shocked to see Tia and Stephanie behind it.
"what are you doing here pesky children?" asked Police Officer Steel.
"We have decided to hand our selves in because we have said bad things to Elizabeth." said Tia in a sad tone.
"But please don't put us in a cell with anybody else! I want to be separate from Tia." pleaded Stephanie.
"And please don't put me in with that girl! She looks horrid!" moaned Tia as she pointed to Emma.
"Enough of this awful whining. It's annoying! And you will be going in with Emma for a punishment. Children's pleads don't work on me so don't try." PO Steel said as he shoved the 2 girls in the cell.
"What are you doing here?" asked Emma quietly.
"We're here to get you out!" replied Tia quietly.

That night Steel had gone to his house to sleep. In Emma's cell there were now 2 more beds for Tia and Stephanie. Out of her pocket Tia pulled out a flashlight. Stephanie pulled out a stick. Stephanie was exceptionally good at fiddling with locks. Tia aimed the flashlight's glow to the lock. It took 2 minutes for Stephanie to get it to open. Emma took the flashlight and tiptoed to the skeleton key on a hook by the door. That key could open any door in the whole land. Emma grabbed it and scurried back to her cell. The girls took their belongings which were just toothbrushes and clothes and rushed out the door. But Emma walked back on and unlocked all the cells. She woke up all the children after she unlocked them and they ran out like a mad mob.
"Come on Emma!" whispered Stephanie. Out of her clothe bag she pulled out a wig which had hair colour which was identical to Emma's.
"This is your wig!" said Tia excitedly.
"Go on put it on!" said Stephanie. Emma let down her hair and put on the wig. When they were walking to their meeting place Emma got tapped on the shoulder by someone. It was Daniele.
"I'll help you get a better world!" she said.
"Well you can kinda be like a sidekick but please keep it down!" Tia said.
"Sorry." Daniele said as she went bright red with embarrassment. They all walked to their hangout.
"I wish I was superman so I could just blast into the castle and destroy the Lord!" said Tia who was obsessed with comics.
"Well we aren't superheroes you know!" Tia said. When they arrived at their hangout Tia went to her house to go get some food.
"So you are like a secret society?" asked Daniele in awe.
"Well, not really. We used to be a friend group but now I guess it's kinda like a secret society I guess." said Emma.

When Tia finally came back she was holding a basket. Inside was all sorts of treats. Fudge, sliced fruits (which were not anybody's favourite), biscuits and tarts. Stephanie helped Tia out out the blanket and they sat there eating and talking.
"So am I now a part of you friend group secret society thing?" asked Daniele with a mouthful of tart in her mouth.
"Not until you've done the challenge." replied Emma.
"What challenge?" Tia asked puzzlingly.
"To get into our group you must let your hair down. We'll tell her about the wigs though so she doesn't get caught back in the prison." Emma whispered to Tia and Stephanie.
"To get in you must let your hair down. But don't do it yet, we still need to get you a wig." said Emma. After they finished the meal Tia returned everything home. Then they went to the local store to buy a wig.
"Another one!" said the lady at the counter.
"We hate our original hair colour but aren't allowed to dye it." said Emma innocently.
"Fine. That's $5.00 thanks." said the woman as she pressed on the keys in the cash register. The girls split their money to pay for the wig. When they were back at the hangout Daniele let down her hair without hesitation.
"One of us! One of us! One of us!" joked Tia. Stephanie was rolling on the grass laughing (or ROGLing) like a 2 year old. Her behaviour made everyone else get in fits of laughter.
"Stop! My sides are killing me!" Emma chuckled. They were out out of their fit by a police siren from a car that was around the corner. A police officer was throwing out pieces of paper. The wind blew a piece right in front of them. It said: Children have escaped the Prison for Disobedient children. If seen please return them to the PFD immediately. Below the last line was photos of all the children that were in the prison. Luckily Tia and Steph weren't in there. Unfortunately Daniele and Emma were. When they looked around there were police officers looking around.
"We need to hide!" whispered Daniele. The girls rushed behind the tree. They were startled when they heard Emma shriek. When they walked around the tree they saw a large hole.
"Jump in everyone!" said Tia. So they jumped in the hole. It was a small space but could fit all the girls. They huddled together in fear. They were getting dirt all over them but being safe meant more than having a bit dirt on you.
"Let's go to the Lord's castle and demand a new government system!" declared Daniele.
"We've already tried that. We didn't have the guts to go inside. The actual outside is intimidating." said Tia.
"Well let's try again!" said Emma determinedly.
"How about tomorrow?" asked Daniele.
"Sure." replied the 3 girls.
"I just thought of something! Where are Daniele and I going to sleep?" asked Emma.
"Well our parents will know about you escaping by now and so will most people." said Tia.
"Maybe we could sleep down here? When the police leave we can gather some leaves and put them here." said Daniele.
"And Steph and I can bring pillows and blankets. The dirt is soft enough so I don't think you'll need leaves." said Tia. The girls knew tomorrow was a big day but they didn't truly realise how life changing it would be.
