"I almost escaped, I swear! If only every 10 minutes almost EVERYBODY comes in. If having a large groups of people looking wasn't bad enough, they all spit at me! Oh, and don't you dare call me a drama queen!"
"Come on, Daniele! You haven't really complained until now!" Tia moaned icily.
"We haven't been able to see each other for ages. I couldn't complain around the guards, now known as tour guides to me." Daniele replied.
"We came down here to tell you news, not to hear you complain. Not to be rude." Emma said.
"Just tell me! Bet ya ten bucks, if I had any money, it's bad." Daniele snapped.
"Well..." Emma hesitated.
"Bad! It's absolutely awful!" Stephanie blurted, just before a signature bruise worthy slap from Tia.
"Don't mind her." Tia said in a cunning sweet tone.
"Uh, excuse me Miss Slappy Slap!" Stephanie screamed.
"What kind of a childish name is that? Your as weak as a child, wouldn't be surprised if you secretly were one!" Tia laughed.
"Just tell me the news!" Daniele shouted.
"We have the execution date, have a look." Stephanie said as she handed the slip of paper from the Lord's room.
"You brought that, and practically stole it!" Tia whispered sharply.
"Not my problem..." Stephanie mumbled. Daniele weakly took the slip of paper, her eyes glued to its crinkled edges. Her eyes started to fill like the flood in her hometown, flooding her eyes with crystal blue salt water tears. She walked into the corner and muttered words, which could only be understood and heard by her. After a quiet, but still loud, wail Daniele ushered them away.•
"You could've been a but more sympathetic." Stephanie whispered to Tia.
"I cry on the inside, unlike you." Tia replied rudely. The long hallway was flooded, yet again, with another group of clueless citizens. It was hard to make room for both parties so the girls decided to not to go to the dining area and go to where they met the hipster guy. Once again he was there, with headphones probably with a soon-to-be number one song. Tia gave Emma a 'You've got to be kidding me!' look. Emma replied whispering "You didn't have the worst if it!"With the hipster in the room it would be impossible to discuss any plans, so they ended up split up doing different things. Stephanie was doodling on a booklet that she found in one of the drawers, Tia was playing Solitaire and Emma was reading an auto biography on the current Lord. It wasn't Emma's first preference for a book but once a new Lord comes in the old biographies get chucked out and taken away from the owners. Emma was quite fond of Lord Sneck, he barely lasted a week because he tried to take away the dictatorship, getting his crown handed down to his younger brother.
"Hey! Look here girls! There's a secret page in the Lord's bio. Look!" that was the first word spoken by the girls in the past hour. Emma was the one that let out that happy shriek. By then the hipster had made a smart decision to actually do some work, and not spend the whole day in the living area.
"Let me see!" Ordered Tia scrambling off the uncomfortable, revolting carpet. Stephanie ignored the remark and wasn't going to even bother looking, but Tia scooped her up back onto her sore feet.
"His weaknesses, most likely useful." Emma uttered to herself, not intending anybody else to overhear.
"If you call us over you could at least acknowledge our existence!" Tia snapped. Emma looked up like the any words in the past sentence weren't spoken.
"It's about his likes, dislikes and weaknesses, would be useful if we're trying to take him down from power." Emma said with the least bit of causality as possible. Tia snatched the book clean out if Emma's hands without warning, almost ripping the crumbled page.
"Hey, let me see!" whimpered Stephanie.
"Wait your turn!" Tia replied harshly. Stephanie looked away, feeling like she didn't fit in with the group lately. She felt like she was slowly being pushed away into the magnetic force of loneliness. She blinked away the tears and tried to look useful by putting in her input when she could. It wasn't until Emma brought up changing to a democracy that Stephanie put in input that they actually cared about.
"What about anarchy? No Lord, no mind controlled members of government and no rules!" That was the one remark that send Stephanie flying into the powerful dark force of loneliness. No words were spoken after that, the girls just got up and left Stephanie falling into loneliness cold hands.•
"Stephanie's insane. No Lord? The Lord would have just as much power! Fear would be struck into poor commoners hearts. Flames burning down the island cottages by the sea. Anarchy? You've got to got to be kidding me!" Tia laughed.
"Yep. Just perfect!" Emma said sarcastically.
"What about anarchy!" Tia said, mocking Stephanie quite well. Emma couldn't breath, for laughing.
"Stop it! I might die!" Emma squealed.
"Well, would the Lord approve of it?" a snobbish voice interrupted, the hipster. Again. Emma tried to ignore him, but with such fluorescent colours it was near impossible to.
"It's a figure of speech, did you go to school?" Tia rudely replied. The hipster seemed quite taken aback and if the girls were looking in a different angle could see a miniature tear stream down his face.•
It wasn't too shortly later that Stephanie had left the humid room to meet up with Daniele again. She didn't want to risk anybody hearing her, as the tours were having a one hour break so it would be a perfect time to share secrets. With the creakiest stairs in the world, or even universe, it was just as impossible as avoiding the sight of the hipster. With many attempts to not make a sound Stephanie just decided to slide down the oily banisters. She saw Daniele holding a scratched, gold photo frame, which could fit in a decent sized pocket. When seeing Stephanie the frame was shoved under her bed.
"Hey girls! Or....just Stephanie?" Daniele said awkwardly.
"Look, I've got a plan. Ever since we came here I've been drifting apart from Tia and Emma. I thought I'd put some pressure on them." Stephanie said slyly.
"I don't know...." replied Daniele sheepishly.
"It's easy! When the guards inform you abut the next group you mention the girls by saying that the others will stop you! When they ask who just say one of your staff, refuse to say anything else. Then watch the dynamite go boom!" Stephanie explained. Daniele simply nodded, leaving to Stephanie to escort herself out since she couldn't.•
Emma and Tia found themselves confronted with a suspiciously pleased Stephanie in the hallway. She gave them a grin like kids do when they tell off somebody to the teacher.
"What are you so smug about?" asked Tia rudely.
"Oh, nothing!" Stephanie replied, trying to seem as innocent as possible.
"You're one confusing girl." Tia said.
