I woke to the dawn light that shone brightly in my eyes. I glanced wearily around me. I was in a grassy clearing.
Thick lush tree's and bushes surrounded me. The sky was bright blue and the sun shone warmly.
W-w-where a-am I? I wondered sleepily.
"Skypaw. Skypaw. Skypaw."
The wind seemed to whisper to me.
I blinked a couple of times, waking myself up before frowning.
"Who said that?"I yowled. The huge trees just stared back at me.
Skkkypaaaw, Skkkkkkkypaaaaaaaaw
The whispering got louder. Now it was like the tree's were speaking to me. Saying my name over and over. I froze, scared. What was the meaning behind this? I noticed the sun lost it's warmth and the sky darkened. My heart beat louder and louder until it thumped in my chest.
SKYPAW! SKKKYYPAAAW!
The wind and trees now yelled at me like they were angry at me. The tree's branches groaned and creaked. Cracking and snapping.
I wanted to flee, to run for my life but my paws were frozen to the ground. I couldn't move all I could do was crouch and watch, listen, fear.
The wins picked up and the sun disappeared. The once sky blue sky turned a dark blue.
SKKKKKYPAAAAW! SKYPAW!
Dark gray clouds chased away the dark blue sky. The clouds swirled and whirled above. The tree's groans and creaks grew louder. Even the wind picked up even more! Thunder clapped an lighting sizzled.
My heart pounded so hard I swear my chest was going to burst right open.
All I could do was stare in horror as the tree's loomed over me, threatening to crush me.The tree's bended towards me when all of a sudden everything stopped.
Everything went black.
I found myself shivering and thrashing in my nest.Four cats leaned over me.
I stared up at them with wide frightened eyes. The prophecy rang in my ears.Three will stand out like black and white. You must guide them to the light. For destruction hangs over their heads.
The words floated around and around in my head.
"Skypaw? Skypaw can you hear me?"One cat meowed loudly.
I nodded.
The cat whispered to the others.
The other cats left.I raised my head of my nest. My body hurt all over.
"Skypaw. You had a nightmare that's all."The brown tom meowed softly.
"Lionpaw was worried so he came to get me."He added in explanation.
"My head hurts."I groaned.
The tom glanced around him and leaned closer to me.
My fuzzy vision cleared and I recognised Oaktooth."Skypaw what did you dream of?"He whispered.
"The prophecy."I whispered, my eyes widening as I explained what happened.
"Will it happen again?"I asked, meaning the dream.
Oaktooth sighed and shrugged.
"All I can tell you is that you have to rest up and act normal. Tomorrow is your assessment and I don't want you failing."With that Oaktooth left me to lie in my nest, alone and scared.Plz vote or comment if you like this.
