Y/ns pov

I jolted my head up when I heard a thump. I look over to see sasha on the ground and bleeding. "NOAH GET ME A TOWEL" I scream and he runs off to find one. I look out the window quick and see rick chasing down a tied up lamson with a police car. He yelling at him through the comms. That's not gonna attract any walkers. Noah comes back and gives me the towel. "Hold her head" I tell him. He gently grabs her head and lifts it up. I wrap the towel around the wound and Noah lays her head back down. "Come on sasha come on" I urge her to wake up. She finally blinks her eyes open "y/n? Wheres lamson" she asks. "He came up behind you and hit you then ran off."

"Where'd he go?" She asks, starting to panic. "Rick got him and shot him" noah says. "Mhm" I agree. "Oh" she sighs. Then everyone comes back with the other cops. They put them where they were last time. Daryl and rick go talk in the distance. "You feeling okay?" I ask sasha. "I shouldve seen him coming" "sasha you were watching the perimeter. It's not your fault." I say to while resting my hand on her shoulder.

"Thanks y/n" she says "no problem". Rick and daryl walk back over "he was a good man." The woman cop says "he got attacked by rotters. I saw it". "Well you're a good liar" rick says. "You said the trade wasnt a good idea. What. Changed?" Daryl asks her. "Lamson was our shot." She continues "its either this or go in there with your guns firing right? You don't want that" she finishes. "If you're lying to me, and things go south-" daryl says before the girl interrupting her "I know! I I know you think we're bad. But let us help you!" She says. We all look at rick waiting for what he'll decide. "What about you?" He asks the male cop. "You wanna live?" He asks. "Dawn thinks itll tip on us" the male cops starts "it will. She'll see this trade as a ripoff if she knows you took out lamson. So it's a good thing lamson got ate by walkers". Rick looks around. This is going to be difficult.

Beth's pov

I'm looking at pictures when dawn is talking on her radio. "I need status on the gunfire. Do you copy?" She asks into the walkie. No response. She continues trying to get someone. She sighs. "Something wrong?" I ask her. "They dont always radio back and it drives me nuts" she says. I go to put picture on the desk. "No no no not there. Put it on the cabinet." I walk over there and put it on. "Thank you". "Is he captain hanson?" I ask while looking at the picture. She sighs "did someone mention him to you?" She asks me.

"Just that he was in charge." I say truthfully. "You'll hear stuff about him. About me. About what I did." She says. She sighs again and wipes off her face with a towel. "He was my mentor" she says after removing the towel from her face. "My friend. I miss him. That's the part that worries me." She says. "What happened to him?" "They risk their lives when they go out there. It has to be worth it, it has to matter. He lost sight of that. That's why I did what I did to noah. I couldnt have him make the same mistake as he did." She says, sadness filling her voice.

I'm sitting outside of where the elevator once was. Where me, y/n and noah all escaped. I missed them. I hear dawn behind me "Percy's gonna be okay" she says. "I wanted to be alone" i say coldly. "You left your key there" "I know you're not going anywhere." She replies. "Neither are you. You keep telling yourself that this is what you have to do until this is all over. But it isnt over. This is it." I say. "This place saved you" she replies, her voice getting colder.

"The others dont know what y/n did you know. They thought my guys were in the wrong place at the wrong time" she says as she slowly is getting closer to me. "Thats what happened." "She lied to you beth." Did she really? She said that joan turned and she pushed him into her. That's not what this ladies saying. "No she didnt!" I yelled. "Shes a cop killer" "she wouldnt kill somebody for no reason." I yell. "But she did. What would you think if her when you find out the whole truth. What will Noah think of her?" "SHES NOT LYING" I scream. We hear someone come in. "What are you gonna do to her?" The man asks. "Its my ward. My call" she says to him. "Fine. But our guys deserve to know who they are working for" he says, getting closer. They start arguing and pull guns on each other. I tune them out and get ready to run.

"Get out of the way beth". I move to the corner as odonnel walks down the hall. They keep arguing. They start fighting and I go to take odonnel off of her. He punches me "STAY IN YOUR LANE" he screams. Then dawn punches him in the throat and kicks him down the elevator shoot.

I go and sit in Carol's room. I jolt my head when dawn walks in. "How do you know her?" She asks me. "She was a part of my group." I reply. "I know why you covered for me. You weren't protecting me. You were protecting yourself." I say getting a glare from her. She nods. "Those doctors and cops, they were problems for you. And now they're not and you didnt have to do any of the dirty work." I say. "That's how it works here. You use people to get what you want. You dont have to remember." I say. "Is that what happened?" I ignore her question. "I'm gonna get out like noah and y/n." I say. "Hes gonna come back. They always do." "Not noah and y/n. Noah has a family to get back to. Y/n has our group. Who knows? Maybe our groups will combine. And I'm gonna be there for it." I look at her. "They never come back because they cant make it. They come back because they dont want to leave." She says. "They're going home." I put emphasis on the word home. "If that's what you think" she says. I hope they make it.

Y/ns POV

We are watching the cars and have the cops on the roof. Safe to say they are being watched better this time. We have me and noah watching them like hawks. Tyrese and sasha have their guns toward the cars and trucks. Rick and Daryl are talking, probably making up game plans. "We're going" tyreese says. We grab our stuff and head down. We watch rick try and communicate with the cops. He talks to them more, probably making our proposal. We see the cops looking around for us.

We go inside. "Do you think this is gonna work?" I ask noah. "Yeah. I was with dawn for a year. Everything will be fine." He says. I grab his hand and lace my fingers with his. We continue walking down the hallway, stop and wait. We see them through the door and walk in. Beth and carol walked forward. "Wheres lamson?" Dawn asks. "Walkers got him" says rick. "We saw it go down" the female cop agrees. "One of yours for one of mine." Dawn says. Rick brings the male cop over. And dawn brings beth over. "Glad we could work things out" dawn says whole glancing over. "Yeah" rick simply responds. "Now I just need noah". Noah looked back and I looked at him. "No" I whispered. Noah started walking, he still had the limp.

"That wasnt part of the deal" rick says while walking over. "Noah was my ward. I need him" dawn replies. "My officers put their lives on the line to find him." Dawn says. "One of them died. I have a claim on him" "no you dont." Rick says "this boy is not a toy. You can't claim him". Noah let's go of my hand and steps forward more"Rick it's fine. Its fine". He hands rick his gun. Me and beth walk forward. "Its not okay." I say to dawn. "Wait!" Me and beth yell. We go to Noah and hug him. "Thank you." I say and kiss his cheek.

Beth's pov

I let go of noah. This cant happen. I walk over to dawn. "I get it now" is all I say before stabbing her in the neck with scissors. I feel a sharp pain in my head before everything fades to black.

Y/ns POV
Blood. Blood spatters on me and Rick's faces. I look at Beth's body on the floor "BETH!" I scream and run over to her. The tears come rolling down my cheeks. "Please beth. Please." I look up and noah is standing there wide eyed. Rick looks up and aims his gun at dawn. And pulls the trigger. Everyone gets their guns and aims it at eachother. The female cop says "Stop! Hold your fire! Hold your fire." Her people slowly put down the weapons.

I go over to noah and hug him. I cant stop crying. I end up sobbing into his shoulder, and I hear him start crying. Daryl picks up beth and we start to walk. Tyrese and sasha leave first. Then me and noah. I notice the whole group is there. Glenn!! Hes alive! I forget about beth for a second before I hear the scream of Maggie, seeing her dead sister in Daryls arms. I hold onto noah even tighter. Time for another funeral.

AUTHORS NOTE - this is possibly the saddest chapter I will ever have to write. Also the definite longest. There will be the backstory on why y/n is so attached to glenn.
