chapter 3 teaser

(heyyy! so since my writing situation is pretty rough, i've decided to start releasing teasers so you kind of have something to look at until i can get the full chapter out. enjoy :) )

"so, i'm proud of you for being invited to that event. you really have come a long way." cam says giving me a smile and holding my hands.

"thanks, i'm really just thinking about all the people i'll see there. i mean if you think about it H.E.R. might be there. do you know how much gay panic i'll experience in that scenario?" i say getting progressively louder the more i speak.

"dooown girl," cam says dragging out the "ow". "what we should be talking about is what you're gonna wear. have you thought about that yet?" cam asks laying back on the couch.

"have i thought about the designs yet? no. but i do know who i want to design my dress." i explain grabbing some doritos from off of the table. this girl knows me too well.

"and that is?" cam asks lifting her head up.

"my mom. duh." i say eating a doritio.

"i'm sorry what?" cam says sitting up fully.

"bro, my mom has been designing my clothes for me since i was 13. the thing i loved about her most is that when i was growing up, she realized i was growing up and realizing my style would change. so she would always take note of the clothing i'd buy and design clothes in that style. our mother daughter time was spent in her room designing and making clothes. and she would design jewelry and have my dad make it. me and my dad did a lot of engineering stuff. like he would let me watch and help him make things in his workshop. we made this thing called a dime hockey board once and," i stops and chuckle a little bit. "sorry i was rambling." i say looking at cam.

"oh no, now you have to finish the stories. i'm invested." cam reassures me with a smile.

there's your teaser! to make it up to you guys for the crappy update schedule, i hereby promise you a double update today (this is the part where you clap).

i will say that even though i haven't updated, i've been working on this book every day.

even better news, one of the two updates today is gonna be fairly long (this is the part where you express how happy you are about this news).

i just wanna say that i'm proud of you. you go through a number of things, yet you're still pushing through and surviving. i don't think you get enough credit for that. so i'll give it to you, i am so incredibly proud of you and if you ever need to talk my DMs are open. i know a lot of people say that but i really mean it.
