It was a quiet night in Fawcett City. Under the watchful eye of the Superhero Shazam, the citizens of Fawcett City sleep soundly. One night at the Fawcett City Museum of Science and History, a new exhibit was set up for a mysterious artifact that was uncovered just a few weeks ago. As the night guards were patrolling the museum grounds, the doors to the museum were blasted open by a flash of lightning. As the smoke cleared, Black Adam walks through the door. Without hesitation, the night guards pull out their guns.
Night Guard: Hold it right there!
Black Adam: Begone.
Black Adam then unleashes a torrent of lightning which blasts both the night guards away. After disposing of the night guards, Black Adam walks up to the exhibit. Black Adam shatters the glass containing the artifact and proceeds to pick up the artifact.
Black Adam: The Tablet Of The Titan. I have long search for this artifact. Now that I have it, no one shall stand in my way.
???: Not if I have anything to say about it!
As the voice calls out to him, Black Adam turns around to see Shazam standing outside the entrance.
Black Adam: Batson! So I see the Wizard's lapdog has come to greet me.
Shazam: Breaking into museums is mighty low, even for you. Now drop the artifact and come quietly.
Black Adam: You have interfered with my affairs for the last time! I will not be talked down to by a mere child!
As Black Adam says this, he charges at Shazam. Shazam blocks Black Adam's punch and the two engage in an epic fight. Shazam did everything in his power to avoid collateral damage.
Black Adam: You have been a thorn in my side for far too long! I will personally see to it that you die by my hands!
Shazam: How many times have I heard that before?
As Shazam battled against Black Adam, Shazam glances over to the tablet which was still in Black Adam's hand. After landing a powerful uppercut which sends Black Adam flying through the ceiling, Shazam picks up the tablet and places it back on the exhibit.
Shazam: Better go take care of Adam before he....
Before Shazam could finish his sentence, he was hit by a powerful bolt of lightning. Immediately after that, Black Adam tackles Shazam and begins punching him.
Black Adam: I will show the Wizard that picking you as his champion was a mistake! With the power of this Tablet, I will ascend even above the Wizard himself! The Rock of Eternity shall break before me!
Shazam: Not if I have anything to say about it!
Shazam and Black Adam continued their fight. During the fight, Black Adam manages to grab the Tablet.
Black Adam: A child like you would not know how to wield it's powers properly.
Shazam: As if I'd let you keep it!
Suddenly, the Tablet began to glow a greenish color. Shazam and Black Adam charged at one another, charging their fists with lightning. As they both connected their strikes, the combined lightning from both overloaded the Tablet and engulfs both Shazam and Black Adam in a powerful but contained explosion. When the smoke was cleared, Shazam and Black Adam were gone. Some time later, Shazam woke up in the middle of what appeared to be a shore. When he regained consciousness, he found out that he had been reverted back to his true form of Billy Batson.
Billy: Ow....my head.
Billy looked around and surveyed his surroundings. Something felt off about this place. He could feel a strong magical presence. It was as if he was back in the Rock Of Eternity.
Billy: Holy moly! Where did that Tablet take me?
As Billy checked his surroundings, Billy spots a strange creature washed up ashore. When he approached it, he found a giant worm with characteristics of a leech. Billy Batson had seen some strange things in his life, but this was something completely new to him.
Billy: Holy moly! I...I don't think I'm in Fawcett City anymore.....
The first thing he did was look to see if Black Adam was nearby. When Black Adam couldn't be seen, he looked for the Tablet which he found next to him.
Billy: At least Adam doesn't have the Tablet.
Even though Black Adam was nowhere to be seen, Billy was still spooked by his new surroundings. After taking a moment to regain his composure, Billy looked around for any sign of life. He soon looks up to the top of a cliff to see a large house made from white brick with a sloping blue roof. A stained glass window above the door gives the impression of a large orange demon eye. The house gave Billy the creeps, but it was the closest thing that he could find to a clue that could reveal where he was.
Billy: Looks like that's a good place to start. Let's just hope there's someone that can help me find out where I am.
In that moment, Billy Batson found himself in a strange new world that was unfamiliar to him. Left with no other option, Billy decided that his next best move was to make his way to the strange house to find out exactly where he is and if possible, find a way back home. What Billy Batson didn't know was that he was about to reunite with a childhood friend that he hadn't seen in a long time.
