After forming the alliance with Emperor Belos, Shazam along with Luz and her friends began preparing for their assault on Black Adam. At this point, Shazam knew that Black Adam was after the Tablet of the Titan.
Shazam: Okay. Black Adam wants the Tablet. That much we know. The good thing is that he doesn't know where it is.
Eda: So all we gotta do is keep the Tablet out of Adam's hands while you go take him down. Sounds simple enough.
Shazam: Black Adam won't go down without a fight.
Luz: He is your arch enemy after all, Billy!
Shazam: If we get into a fight him, be careful! I've fought him enough times to know how dangerous he is.
King: He may have beaten Belos, but we can take him no problem!
Shazam: Trust me when I say Black Adam is no joke. He will not hesitate to kill you.
Kikimora: If Black Adam is so dangerous, why haven't you killed him?
Shazam: Because I'm a hero and heroes don't kill.
It was at this moment that Belos took note of Shazam's code. It was clear to Belos that what separated Shazam and Black Adam was their code.
Amity: Where do we begin?
Shazam: Okay.....Luz! You've been to Belos's palace, right?
Luz: Yes!
Shazam: Awesome!
Belos: I will gather my remaining allies and meet you all at the palace.
Shazam: No funny business, Belos.
With that, Emperor Belos and his allies left the Owl House to gather his supporters. After that, Shazam and the others prepared to make their way to the palace. To avoid drawing attention to themselves, Shazam reverts back to his real form. As they walk the streets of Bonesborough, they notices that the streets were empty.
Luz: Why the streets so empty?
Billy: Something tells me Black Adam's behind this.
Willow: What about that?
Willow then points to a wanted poster showing a drawing of the lightning bolt on Shazam's chest.
Billy: Uh oh. That's not good.
As Billy said this, the Coven leaders surrounded Billy and the others. They were escorted by Coven Guards with uniforms bearing the insignia of Black Adam.
Darius: Good job, Eberwolf. So you must be the one they call the Wizard's Champion.
Billy: What do you want?
Darius: We've been tasked by Black Adam to track you down.
Vernworth: A boy? The Wizard's Champion is a boy?
Raine: Black Adam fears him for a reason.
Eda: What's going on, Raine?
Raine: Our hands are tied, Eda. Black Adam wants the Tablet.
Vernworth: Be a good boy and hand us the Tablet.
At this point, Billy didn't back down an inch. Without hesitation, Billy spoke the word and transformed himself into Shazam. As Shazam stands before the Coven leaders, Shazam crosses his arms.
Shazam: You don't know what you're doing. Whatever Black Adam wants, he won't honor it.
Terra: And what would you know about that?
Shazam: Because I've fought him enough times to know what Black Adam is capable of.
As Shazam says this, Raine's instincts told her that Black Adam was not to be trusted. As far as Raine knew, Black Adam was worse than Belos.
Raine: What if he's right? How do we know Black Adam can be trusted.
Darius: We have no choice. If we don't follow Black Adam's orders, he'll kill us all.
Shazam: There is no working with Black Adam. All you are to him are expendable servants. You're being played!
Darius: Our hands are tied on this.
Shazam: You don't want to do this! Some of you seem like nice people.
Eda: I wouldn't bother with them.
Terra: I knew I should've killed you and your sister years ago. I'll have to remedy that mistake.
Luz: Billy?
Shazam: Looks like there's no way around it. Black Adam's got these guys scared. I've taken on my share of bad guys!
Eda: Raine? You sure you want to be Black Adam's lapdog?
Raine quickly found themselves in a difficult position. Thry knew full well that Black Adam was not to be trusted. At the same time, they didn't want to potentially compromise their plan to take down Belos.
Raine: Damn it....I can't do this.
Darius: What the hell do you think you're doing?!
Raine: Look at us! We're playing lapdogs to an outsider!
As Raine says this, they saw an opportunity to express their discontent with Emperor Belos using Black Adam as a scapegoat.
Raine: Why are we doing this?! We're better than this! We don't have to bow down to someone like Black Adam!
Darius: Damn it, Whispers! We don't have time for this! You know as well as I do of what will happen if we stand against Black Adam!
Eda: Seems like they're only smart one around here. Black Adam is clearly full of it and you're still ready to kiss his boots.
Luz: You don't have to do this!
Shazam: Your friend is smart. I'd follow their lead if I were you. Cause if you're gonna fight for Black Adam, then I have no choice to take you down.
With that, the Coven leaders readied their magic while the Coven Guards loyal to Black Adam readied their swords. Raine decided to stand with Shazam.
Raine: I won't stand aside and serve a despot like Black Adam.
Darius: If that's how you feel, then you leave us with no choice.
Shazam: If you think I'll go down easy, you better think again. There's a reason why I'm the Wizard's Champion!
In that moment. Shazam prepared yo battle the Coven leaders alongside Luz and her friends. In the streets of Bonesborough, the Coven leaders would soon experience first hand as to why Shazam was the Wizard's Champion.
