In the heart of the throne room, Shazam along with Luz and her friends attacked Black Adam. Shazam and Eda charged at Black Adam, but Black Adam was able to hold his own against the two. Willow uses her Plant Magic to conjure up large vines and attempts to restrain Black Adam. As Black Adam effortlessly breaks free from the vines, Gus casts a powerful illusion on Black Adam. Black Adam soon finds himself surrounded by what appeared to be the Justice League. Black Adam was not fazed.
Black Adam: Your tricks will not work on me!
Black Adam then unleashes a powerful lightning shockwave which shocks everyone, including Gus. This breaks the illusion. Before Black Adam could advance, Amity summons a large Abomination which attacks Black Adam. Luz along with Eda and King launch a coordinated attack on Black Adam. King jumps on Black Adam and scratches his face, allowing Eda to slash at him with her claws. Luz then smacks Black Adam with Owlbert and slams several Fire Glyphs on Black Adam. As Black Adam's body was covered in flames, Shazam hurls a lightning bolt at Black Adam. Despite all these attacks, Black Adam remains standing. As the battle dragged on, Shazam and his allies were no closer to defeating Black Adam.
Eda: What the hell is this guy made of?!
Shazam: This is bad! Black Adam's never been this strong!
Luz: There has to be something we can do, Billy!
As Shazam thinks over his options, he looks at Luz and the others. In that moment, an idea came to his head.
Shazam: Guys, I got an idea.
Luz: What is it?
Shazam: It's time to fight fire with fire! SHAZAM!
As Shazam speaks the word, a lightning strikes at Shazam, covering himself and everyone else in a blinding light. When the light faded, Black Adam sees that Luz and the others now bore the power of Shazam.
Luz: Santo molibdeno! Billy, what did you do?!
Shazam: I gave you all some of my power!
Amity: This is incredible!
Gus: So we're Shazams too?!
King: HAHA! NOW I TRULY AM THE KING OF DEMONS! THE WORLD SHALL TREMBLE BEFORE MY MIGHT!
Eda: Now this is what I'm talking about!
Shazam: Let's get him!
With that, Shazam led his newly empowered friends in attacking Black Adam. Amity created several Abominations which were now infused with the lightning of Shazam. As the Abomintions attacked Black Adam, Willow conjured up large spiked vines. She then commands them to swarm Black Adam. As Black Adam destroys the vines, King attacks Black Adam by kicking him in the leg. Black Adam attempts to smack King away, but King dodges it.
Black Adam: Stand still, you little rodent!
King: Rodent?! You speak to the King of Demons!
King then punches Black Adam with enough force to send him flying. Eda then flies up to Black Adam and slams him to the ground. Luz teams up with Shazam to deal a powerful uppercut which knocks Black Adam back several feet. After the initial assault, Black Adam slowly gets up.
Black Adam: Do you truly think numbers alone shall grant you victory. You all may have been granted the powers of the Wizard, but what you all don't understand is that by granting you this power, he has weakened himself. My power however remains strong. Now you shall know the true power of a God!
With that, Black Adam unleashes a devastating assault on Shazam and his allies. Tapping into his newfound power, Black Adam gains the upper hand on Shazam and his allies. Despite their best efforts, Neither Shazam nor his empowered friends were able to bring down Black Adam. Soon enough, Black Adam had Shazam and his friends at his mercy.
Black Adam: What will you do now, boy? Will you transfer more of your power into them? Or will you finally accept the inescapable fact that victory is far beyond your reach?
In that moment, Shazam and his friends were running out of time. Despite having been granted the power of Shazam, Luz and her friends were clearly outmatched by Black Adam.
King: Okay....I think we're in trouble!
Eda: I hope you got a new plan, kid! Cause it looks like we're not making a dent at that bozo!
Amity: There...there has to be another way!
Willow: How?! Billy granted us some of his power and we're still no closer to eating Black Adam!
Gus: Maybe we can...combine our power somehow.
In that moment, Shazam had an idea.
Shazam: Gus! You're a genius!
Gus: I am?
Luz: Billy?
Shazam: If we can combine our powers, then we'll be able to stand toe to toe with Black Adam!
Eda: We already tried that and look where that got us!
Shazam: Maybe we went about it all wrong! I tried giving you all some of my power to even the odds when we were supposed to combine our powers!
Amity: What do you mean?
Shazam: We all say the magic word. At the exact same time.
Luz: What's going to happen?
Shazam: There's only one way to find out.....
As Shazam said this, everyone took a deep breath. What they were about to do was a serious risk. They had no idea if it was going to work. Despite this, they had no other choice.
Black Adam: What will you do now?
Shazam: This....
Shazam/Luz/Amity/Eda/King/Willow/Gus: SHAZAM!
As they all collectively said the word, a lightning bolt strikes at the group. When the smoke cleared, Black Adam was surprised to find the group missing. Instead, only one person stood before Black Adam. The figure was a light skinned man with a muscular build. He had long brown hair with green streaks. The being had dark cyan eyes with gray owl-like wings that protrude from the back as well as white horn protruding from the left side of the head.
Black Adam: What trickery is this?!
???: You stand before......CAPTAIN THUNDER!
In that moment, Shazam and his allies had combined their power to transform themselves into Captain Thunder. In that moment, the clash of the titans was about to begin.
