After the incident at the Owl House, Billy Batson joined Luz, Eda and King in the Owl House. Luz decided to invite a few people over which consisted of her girlfriend Amity as well as her close friends Willow and Gus. As Luz tells them of what happened, Billy decided to come clean. He reveals that he is in fact the superhero Shazam. Upon hearing this, Luz could barely contain her excitement.
Luz: One of my best friends is a superhero! That's so awesome!
Billy: It's been uh....it's been quite a ride.
Luz: Wait....that means you know the Justice League?! Oh man that's so cool!
Amity: The Justice League?
Eda: Justice League? Ha! What kinda dumb name is that?
Luz: The Justice League are anything but dumb! They're some of Earth's greatest superheroes! Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and so many more!
At this point, Billy pulls out his phone. Luckily, he was able to get a connection on his phone. He proceeds to show everyone a video of the Justice League fighting off an invasion of Parademons. The video featured Shazam himself as he fought wave after wave of Parademons alongside the Justice League. Everyone was stunned by what they were seeing.
Gus: Whoa! I didn't think Humans were capable of that!
Billy: Well....Superman's not Human. He's Kryptonian. In fact, there's a good portion of League members who aren't Human.
Eda: I bet none of them could make magic!
Billy: Actually there's quite a few! Besides me, Doctor Fate, Zatanna, Constantine....in fact, you actually remind me of Constantine!
Eda became annoyed by Billy's response as she groaned at him. Billy lets out a nervous smile as Luz continues to gush over the fact that Billy was Shazam.
Luz: What are they like?
Billy: They're all actually pretty nice! Batman's a little scary, but he's nice when you get to know him.
Amity: So you practice magic?
Billy: You could say that! The Wizard chose me to become Earth's protector. I was bestowed with the wisdom, strength, stamina, power, courage and speed of the Gods.
At that point, Billy leads everyone outside. Once they were outside, Billy gestures Luz and the others to back away several feet. With a smile on his face, Billy looks up to the sky.
Billy: Shazam!
As Billy speaks the word, lightning cracks the sky and strikes Billy, transforming him into Shazam. Everyone was in awe by what they were witnessing. Even Luz, Eda and King still couldn't comprehend what they had just seen. None have ever seen this kind of magic. Shazam begins displaying his various powers much to everyone's amazement. He conjures a lightning bolt and tosses it to the sky. He begins flying around the Owl House at supersonic speeds. He performs various feats of strength which included lifting the entire Owl House before setting it down.
Eda: Hey!
Shazam: Sorry! Shazam!
Shazam then transforms back into Billy Batson.
Billy: So what do you think?
Luz: Santo molibdeno! That was amazing!
Billy lets out a nervous chuckle as he and the others heads back inside.
Luz: So how did you end up here in the Boiling Isles?
Billy: Well I was fighting Black Adam and he was trying to steal this tablet.
Billy then shows everyone the Tablet Of The Titan. Upon seeing this, Eda quickly recognized it.
Eda: The Tablet Of The Titan? That thing disappeared decades ago! How the heck did it end up in the Human world?!
Billy: I don't know, but Black Adam really wanted to steal it. We fought and then there was this explosion and....well here I am.
Luz: What exactly is this tablet?
Amity: According to legend, this tablet was imbued with the power of the Titan centuries ago. Nobody knows where it came from or why it existed. They say whoever holds the table holds the power of the Titan.
Billy/Luz: Holy moly!/Santo molibdeno!
At that point, Billy deduced that this is why he was transported to the Boiling Isles. But another question pops into Billy's mind.
Billy: Luz, how did you get here?
Luz: It's uh.....it's a long story.
Eda: That tablet was better off in the Human world. If Belos gets his hands on this, there's no telling what kind of damage he could do.
Billy: Belos?
Luz: A big time bad guy who just so happens to be the Emperor of the Boiling Isles. He's a real jerk!
Billy: A tyrannical, power hungry despot who's looking to take over this place while probably planning to invade Earth and take over?
As Billy says this, everyone was surprised at how quickly Billy was able to piece together Emperor Belos and his plans. After an awkward silence, Billy speaks up.
Billy: I dealt with a lot of despots from across the universe. Heck, me and the Justice League fight guys like that all the time.
Luz: Maybe Billy can help us fight Belos! We have a member of the Justice League on our side! There's no way Belos could beat us!
As Luz says this, Billy takes a moment to think it over. While he was unfamiliar with the Boiling Isles, Billy's sense of justice and desire to help others ultimately influenced Billy's decision.
Billy: I'll be happy to help out anyway I can!
With that, Billy joined up with Luz and her friends in their fight against Emperor Belos. But what they didn't know was that an even bigger threat had followed Billy Batson into the Boiling Isles and would soon make his move.
